    As someone with family ties to QC I appreciate him showing them a ton of respect. I expected his speech to be focused on Colorado but he showed Quebec a lot of love.

    We were so spoiled in Colorado with all the HOFs on those teams.

    Him and John Tavares look like twins. I'll never forget Sakic and Yzerman together on team Canada tearing it up vs USA

    3:01 hits different now that PL is gone and Sakic DID bring a championship to Denver

    One of the best centers ever to play in the NHL. Great two way player who had virtually no weakness.

      Yes, much like Steve Yzerman. And they both wore number 19

    And of course Joe gave to Mats the most personal and biggest honor in the whole speech. Pure class, GLG

      Everyone talks about Sakic-Forsberg but people forget how lethal him and Sundin we’re together in those early years. Can’t believe QC traded Sundin for Wendel.

      It wasnt a wrister is was a snapper release..sorry had to correct for that...

    • @grimiss
      @grimiss 3 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      @@michaeljoseph8674 His signature shot was a mid-stride wrister. He also had a great snap, slap, one-timer, etc. He was great at all shots but he is known for his wrister.

      @@grimiss His signature was that wrist shot off the wrong foot. It's funny but so many hockey players can't do it. Goalies hate it.

    • @grimiss
      @grimiss 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@1.cavesprings529 Yep. Like I said, mid-stride wrister which is why it would be off his left foot instead of the right. And he did it from everywhere.

    The clapping and reactions are underwhelming, the HOF is a huge deal. Is it like a hockey etiquette thing? Why is this so dry and uptight?

    "Quoteless" Joe even has a boring hall of fame speech. And I say that with love, as he's one of my favorite players ever.
