The funniest scenes I like are the kids' unruly pets dressed up 2 look like wild animals, and Oliver Hardy's appearence as a startled drunk. What great fun!
Amazing, and brilliant. The cameo with Oliver Hardy is icing on this imaginative cake. Everyone is in on the action, including the Hal Roach crew that worked so hard to pull this off. All the Roach/MGM silents deserve a commercial release, not only because they're funny, they bridge that last year between silent and 'talkie' that is brief and obscure to most viewers. Hey!.....Thanks Old Nick for the wonderful effort loading these up for everyone to enjoy.
taken from the Biltmore at Ashville, north Carolina. it is one of the oldest still operating hotels in the country. jean darling is the only living acteress at age 91.
Is this the real, original synchronized disc score for this film? None of the other 28-29 Roach disc scores had a piano track. The last silents (BACON GRABBERS, ANGORA LOVE, CAT, DOG & CO., SATURDAY'S LESSON) had pipe organ scores.

This is the only silent Little Rascals I remember seeing on TV back in the early 60's. The ostrich is what I remember most clearly.

North Carolina's only Miss America, Maria Beale Fletcher (1962), came from Asheville.
Thank you!
Released the same day as mr. roach's first great star last silent, speedy (april 7,1928).

It is. The final silents had pipe organ soundtracks, but the earlier shorts had piano soundtracks, like this one and Crazy House.
@@OldNick08 Or orchestral scores.
