I think back to the first gen RDX, my prediction is the ADX will be an upsized (based on Acura's tendency to have tweener products) Euro HRV design with Acura elements. The coupish hatch of the Euro HRV has not been seen on any NA Honda models. Also, its chunky boxy design fits more with Acura's design language. I also believe it being an Acura SUV (Acura statement "This will not be based on any current Honda models) that wasn't aligned with any previous models, they will make it competitive in the segment with the 10AT/2.0T (detuned to 240-250hp/280lb-ft base with Type S getting slightly more powerful upgraded ITS unit because of SH-AWD) to keep the starting price around $38K, seeing that all models in this segment are just shy or slightly north of $40K. I know people want to immediately align products from Honda/Acura directly, but they have deviated (unique TLX platform, heavily modified RDX platform, and GM shared Ultium ZDX platform) a few times already to prove that this was an old way of thinking. People also seem to forget that the C platform is also shared with CRV (106.3" wheelbase), as a true premium model the longer wheelbase would add to space and comfort. Lastly looking at the best selling models XT4, GLB, XC40--the dimensions are likely 74"W x 65"H x 182"L.
I’m a fan of the euro HRV but don’t believe any NA vehicles use the platform so unlikely for ADX. NA HRV is more their MO. I’d love to see the euro HRV come here as the new Element though. Disagree it’s design language is more Acura, doesn’t have long hood and d pillar angle isn’t typical Acura. Judging by how the Integra’s and ITS designs were handled, I expect ADX to have mostly cosmetic/tuning diffs over HRV. Only powertrain diffs that seem likely: an AT on the Type S, and a substitute for the 2.0T… doesn’t seem like them to put that in an SUV unless they mod it heavily. A hybrid is a slight possibility and the civic hybrid would line up well. Better yet, take a K20 design and put their next gen hybrid system on it (not happening). For their own financial wellness they need to reverse their no-hybrids at Acura stance.
It’ll be a nicer HRV like the Integra is a nicer Civic. Exterior should resemble Integra, interior prob also but maybe some HRV too. Type S is likely but a manual isn’t. 1.5T is likely, 2.0T on Type S fair chance. They should change their minds and bring in hybrids starting with ADX. Civic hybrid powertrain would be a good fit. Then do RDX with CRV hybrid.

Thanks Jason, far too long Honda took to bring as Acura with panoramic roof and cool features. Sometimes it seems they don't want to make more money with more products and content. I would hope hybrid, but also type S with similar to integra type s and SH-AWD
Hi Jason, I just saw your 9 year old video on Hondas secret museum and you were very knowledgeable I was wondering if you know what happened to the 08 Accord Coupe Concept that was seen at the Detroit auto show? Was it scrapped or does it exist somewhere? 8th gen accord concepts have a strangle hold on me as of late and info on any of them would make me very happy.
Hill start keeps the car from rolling back when you lift off the brake on a hill and hill decent keeps the cars speed while going down a hill a hill between 2-12 mph
