I think it’s so amazing that specialized tools and materials are so available and affordable now that stuff like this can be accomplished by the average consumer now. Blows my mind how things have changed in the past 40-50 years.
    Great job bro!!!

What is the thickness of aluminum plate?

I am curious why you didn't run stringers lengthwise instead of cross braces?

I was just mimicking my old 14' vhull, it had cross braces inside and on the outside of the bottom it had 3 lengthwise stringers. I figured it would give strength in both directions.

What did you weld it with. It does not look like tig. For the tacks I mean

I used the Miller 211 with aluminum wire in it, not ideal but made it work.

@@dooryardfabrication3973 what wire did you use? I’m having a hard time getting it to feed through my Hobart

      @@travismessier6363 I used 5356 grade wire, it’s stiffer than 4043. The diameter I believe was .035”.
I had occasional troubles and the welds didn’t look very pretty but I was too cheap to buy a spool gun.
Try to keep your gun and cable as straight as you can, put a tip in that’s one size bigger, be careful of your drive rolls, too tight of tension will indent the soft aluminum and cause it too catch in the liner and tip.
      Good luck!
