The account given at the 30:00 part is so troubling! When we try to twist God's arm by praying, quoting scripture, fasting, etc. to get Him to do what WE want, that is NOT FAITH! Real faith is letting God be God and knowing that He loves us and will do what is best. This is a huge failing of the "word of faith" movement. Their faith is in themselves, in human will -- that they can decide what God should do and then compel Him to do it. There is no peace in that. Compare it with John Owen's story, which is also mentioned. I just needed to share that in case anyone else has had their faith threatened by such false teaching. It is not that David Wilkerson is preaching that, but I know that many do and he referred to it here without the proper scriptural and spiritual truth that God has revealed to me, so I am teaching what I have learned.
