    Please read:
Those of you telling me that I am tightening the stem plate in the wrong place, thank you for informing me and I will use this information to fix the scooter.
HOWEVER, just because the stem issue CAN be fixed does not make the Mantis a quality product. 500 miles is almost nothing for a high end scooter and for it to be loosening in such a significant way is a major issue for me. I DO NOT feel safe on this scooter. I shouldn't have to be popping the thing open to work on it after such a short amount of time. This is besides all the other issues that I listed in the video.
Also, YOU not having the same issues with this scooter does not change my personal experience with the scooter. You can tell me a million times that you like the scooter and you won't change my opinion because I have my own personal experience with it. That is what MY channel is for: MY experience.
I told my story about my issues with all the flat tires as a warning for my American viewers because Fluid Freeride is the main or only distributor here, and I want them to know that I did not get the correct innertube replacement from Fluid. If you have a place where you can quickly get quality innertubes for the Mantis, good for you. I have not had that experience though.
Thanks for watching and supporting as always.

You should definitely replace the aluminum steering neck and the fork after that hard crash! Your scooter will not be safe to operate until you fix the crash damage. Something is obviously bent because of the lack of clearance at the front of the deck. It is way less than mine even when you flex it away.

Zero 9 has far too much stem wobble that messes with low speed stability when turning. True that. I have a Dualtron Mini. Which I love very much! Amazing scooter all together so fat but it came with an improperly alligned stem which meant that if I held me steering wheel straight, my wheel would be some degrees to the left. I had to drill the holes bigger and now it's perfectly alligned. Still... for a company that makes $8000 scooters, that is not ok.

Possibly those tubes were not ment to be on that wheel at all. Compare the new tube with the original one! Yes you can bend the valve. Make shure the valve is not rubbing in a wrong angle in the wheel. It can weaken valve & the rubbery part. Also the bent axel will vibrate the valve & the wheel thus rips it.
      Flats can you easily occur.

Sorry you are having so many problems with your scooter. I can’t help but think that most of your damage was caused by that high speed collision with a curb early on. You nailed that curb hard. I would have expected damage to the wheels and especially the steering head and deck. The fact that it didn’t break in half is surprising. The factory tires are easily damaged by impact and this will cut cords inside. This will make the tire eat tubes. Constant flats until the offending tire is replaced. Any scooter with theses tires can have this same problem. I have a Mantis Pro that has almost 700 miles on it. Tightening bolts with thread locker is a must on these machines, just like off-road motorcycles. The 3 inch wide tires that are available for these fit perfect and are much thicker and can be purchased with tubes that fit fine. I have had no flats since I made this upgrade. The bolts that come on all of these Chinese scooters are low quality and will stretch if either over tightened or over stressed in a crash. Super high quality replacements should be considered. Cheap and fairly easy to change out. I think the Mantis is just fine if it is checked and maintained regularly. All of them will need this. Good luck.

I had this scooter and it was great. Super fast. I only sold it because I felt I would be more comfortable on an ebike. Not going to get the same speed out of an ebike but will be way more super chill as 2000w scooters are like constantly being on a roller coaster. Fun for a bit but bound to be extremely dangerous over time.

The thing I love about this rant is very true - nobody does any follow up, sturdiness or longevity testing on any scooters. A consumer hands the seller a couple thousand or more dollars, then the companies change the models every 12-18 months. Dualtron for example has about a dozen different ones, they also have the Speedway models and now they carry the BlueTran models. Why in the world does a scooter company need so many models and who is going to keep track of their quality?
In reality I only see room for maybe 5 speed versions of a scooter with interchangeable street and off-road tires included in the price: 0-15mph, up to 30, up to 45, up to 60, and then highway speeds 60 > 80+mph
I would also make the scooters modular to change deck width, stem height and be able to install a reinforced bracket to mount a seat that sits back closer to the rear tire or add a basket to the same seat post.
Dualtron is not alone in this hype driven platform so what I would like to see is longer warranties that I don't have to pay an extra $400-$600 for 3 years. If the product is good then I shouldn't have to pay extra to insure it and possibly get the run-a-round when I make a claim.
Don't care if someone gets offended because if I'm paying thousands of dollars for a big battery and a few hundred dollars in parts that get imported and manufactured from overseas, I want to make sure it will last. These scooters are rated for people 220 to 350Lbs. so it should tested rigorously with the heaviest listed weight for at least 1,000 miles before bringing it to market. The electronics, brakes and other components should all be tested as well and have certificates like they do with other products costing thousands of dollars.

@@jr8472 I agree the Rion has cool tech but their prices are just silly now that other companies are making them 62-75mph for 1/3 less compared to the Rion. The only place where the Rion excels is that it weighs a lot less than the competition but even if I had the money I wouldn't pay it for a scooter and rather put the $9-10,000 as a down payment on a investment property to rent out. I've had a few motorcycles and terrible how easy they are to steal if you do not have a garage wherever you park it. Scooters you can take with you so problem solved but prices are too much for the fast ones and most only have a 1 year warranty.

Okay the machine can handle it but how many times do you think you can ride hard without expecting give or take... Murphy's law. Problems your experiencing including correct tube purchase!?! (Huh lol)Maybe it's just me but I felt your problems are minimal in this video and redundant, loose construction of the neck on top of the battery box could be fixed with a quarter inch piece of aluminum or carbon flat stock ( 7'-8'inch X 3'-4'inch) but instead you discredit your previous videos and expect the world like it's never going to have issues...

The official distributor not having a compatible parts even for an item as commonly needed as an inner tube is 100% a good issue to bring up. Just because the e-scooter market is an emerging market, doesn't mean that these issues are not important to bring up.
Why should the Mantis be immune from criticism regarding the stem wobble issue when I've never seen anyone bring up a similar issue with Dualtron or Inokim scooters?? This scooter is the price of a 150-250cc Yamaha or Honda gas scooter, but if any of those other two brands have an issue with loose stem after 500 miles or unavailability of replacement parts from the OFFICIAL distributor, you'd be called stupid for defending them

The inner tubes are easy to find, they are 15$ shipped on Aliexpress for a pair of them. The mat is easy to tack down with some glue. Stem issues have been resolved and updated with the newest models, there have been no reports that I know of regarding stem issues. That motor wobble is deffinitly unacceptable though, I hope they improved the quality control and design of it by now. It also sounds like you have had many bolts/screws come lose. This can cause a lot of wiggle and play in the joints. This only makes things worse, so you need to make sure that you lock tite them, when they come lose so that they don't come lose again. Towards the end of the video I see where the stem meets the deck, the whole insert is sloppy. There should be bolts underneath the deck, those are likely very lose! Lock tite and re tighten to spec. Also lock tite and re tighten the screws on top of the deck. Without lock tite, it'll just come lose again

and since i was changing the rear i went ahead and switched to the off road tires, i was concerned that the clearance would be an issue , but they run just fine ,no issues at all.

There is no way those two little screws secure the front frame. You either need to take the thing apart and loctite all fasteners, or if you aren't comfortable doing that, get someone who is.
