I know I am extremely late, but to the people who are saying this is just a kid's show so it doesn't have to make sense or have logic, kids really deserve better than shows that talk down to them.
I get where you're coming from. I just searched for this because I work with autistic kids and specifically am paired with one that basically talks like paw patrol. I feel like I grew up on a lot better. I still think it's important for children's growth to have something a little better than what paw patrol gives, even at age 6.
Update on the Paw Partol Paw Patrol Members- Chase, Marshall, Rocky, Skye, Rubble, Zuma . There is aslo Everest, Tracker, Ella, Tuck, Rex, Wildcat, Liberty, AL, and Coral . Wildcat is going by Wild in Season 9 and has a pack of feline friends who are Leo , Shade , and Rory who are the cat pack. Villains- Duke of Flappington, Mayor Humdinger, Sweetie ,Arrby, Sid Swashbuckle, Ladybird, Cheetah, Harold Humdinger, Meow Meow, Kitten Catastrophe Crew , Moby , Cheetah, and Codi Gizmodo, Elle Dee.

This video is baffling when you consider Paw Patrol is currently the most popular children's franchise for the 2-5 age group. They clearly like the series for its fast pacing and adorable cartoon dogs, which has unfortunately caused other kids shows to be jealous and copy PP's format, often with less-than-favourable results.
Because it is crack for kids. This show melts children's ability to follow a plot and be patient, I work with kids and yes the effect it has on those that are allowed to watch it vs those that don't is palpable.
I think the reason it has so much merchandise might be partly because Spin Master makes both the show and the merchandise. So they create merchandise for their own show
Um there's actually 4 female members now; Skye, Everest, Ella and Liberty. I don't think Delores and Sweetie counts. Just because there's few female members doesn't mean the show is viewing girls as useless, they're just as useful as the males, and who knows what Liberty has in store for us who knows. Admitted I wanted Everest, Ella and Liberty to live in the lookout along with more upcoming members but that would be way too much main characters to deal with. So The Things, do you even know a show that has way too any main characters. Think about it, if there's too many main characters, there will be a lack of character development. It's a kids show, regardless of the pups the show is supposed to teach kids role models, it's not like those other shows on Nick Junior like Dora the Explorer who would talk straight through the fourth wall so they can communicate with the viewer, Paw Patrol is a better show because the characters don't stop after every moment they need to do a simple task, Dora the Explorer is a bad show because Dora immediately drops what she's doing because she doesn't know how to pull out her map or her backpack, a 2-year-old have the capability to do do those simple things, it wouldn't really matter to me if Dora gets canceled because I really don't care either way put Paw Patrol is educational and it provides safety to kids so that they know who to call when they get older, sadly the service will not be dogs but at least the kids know that they can still at least get the service that they need because they're going to need to call someone at some point, why do you think they say "Safety First" if safety didn't matter?

The moment when people take things too seriously blows my mind, especially when it comes to children's shows. These programs are designed for young audiences, so it's unnecessary to overanalyze certain aspects of the show.
I work with kids and spoiler alert, guess what kids (and parents) actively like this show? I saw kids forced to watch this shit and boom, you could watch their attention span and behavior deteriorate if they wouldn't blow up from being forced to watch this.

Sadly early childhood paedagogics is a relatively new field. As for your entirely redundant argument on adults: Adults have already (hopefully) learned core skills and behaviors. Children have not. Putting them, sometimes for hours, in front of lackluster programming that does not serve the express purpose of training or teaching positive behaviors is a net negative. Children don't learn to follow stories or plotlines during Paw Patrol, they don't get to learn reason or reading a situation because this show entirely goes against the principles of Show Don't Tell. They become severely impatient. It is cheaply produced to be loud and addictive to the developing mind much in the same way TikTok is, by constantly giving responses that release Dopamine.

Pros and cons of Marshall not existing. Pros: The Paw Patrol would be a little bit more mature, and there wouldn't be any trouble when the pups have to go up the elevator. Cons: The concept of "silliness" in the show would be half-missing, the firetruck would not exist either, meaning that fires wouldn't be able to be put out, anything that got stuck onto a roof would've stayed there, Everest would've been hired to take over for Marshall's absence, but Everest isn't the one who normally deals with fire-related things. Adventure Bay could potentially dissolve into chaos without him.

The moment when people take things too seriously blows my mind, especially when it comes to children's shows. These programs are designed for young audiences, so it's unnecessary to overanalyze certain aspects of the show.
I work with kids and spoiler alert, guess what kids (and parents) actively like this show? I saw kids forced to watch this shit and boom, you could watch their attention span and behavior deteriorate if they wouldn't blow up from being forced to watch this.

In my perspective, this whole argument seems to boil down to adults disliking something and then projecting those dislikes onto their children by restricting what they can watch it Becouse the don't like it and not becouse its bad for them.

I am currently trying to find literature on the topic of early childhood development and the complexity of materials offered to children because I am quite sure that there is at least some research. Sadly early childhood paedagogics is a relatively new field.
As for your entirely redundant argument on adults: Adults have already (hopefully) learned core skills and behaviors. Children have not. Putting them, sometimes for hours, in front of lackluster programming that does not serve the express purpose of training or teaching positive behaviors is a net negative. Children don't learn to follow stories or plotlines during Paw Patrol, they don't get to learn reason or reading a situation because this show entirely goes against the principles of Show Don't Tell. They become severely impatient. It is cheaply produced to be loud and addictive to the developing mind much in the same way TikTok is, by constantly giving responses that release Dopamine.

Pros and cons of Marshall not existing.
Pros: The Paw Patrol would be a little bit more mature, and there wouldn't be any trouble when the pups have to go up the elevator.
Cons: The concept of "silliness" in the show would be half-missing, the firetruck would not exist either, meaning that fires wouldn't be able to be put out, anything that got stuck onto a roof would've stayed there, Everest would've been hired to take over for Marshall's absence, but Everest isn't the one who normally deals with fire-related things.
Adventure Bay could potentially dissolve into chaos without him.
