I'm not big on showing love through gifts-I'm more of a "I show my love" by doing things for people, but there is just something special about little treat bags that is so fun. I don’t know if it’s your vibe or you will have time but since my wedding I’m still on weddingtok and keep seeing cute ideas- for “place cards” she made a letter for each person and that’s how they knew what seat. I originally thought I wanted a 1/2 up 1/2 down hairstyle for my wedding, but when we tried it, I ended up hating it and went with an all up-do, so I think its great you booked another appointment just to be sure!

I got married last year and i decided to wear my hair mostly down for that day because i always have my hair down in my day to day life. I just did a little part up just to do something different for the occasion (it happens only one time so why not 😉).
And i did my make-up myself, again maybe put a little bit more than usual and for the photos but today when a watch the pictures i know that is the real me.

It’s insane that you need to take unpaid time off from work. Here in Germany I get PTO of 33 days per year. With that I took time off for both wedding and honeymoon
I feel you on how fun it is to organize stuff like this. I used to help my mom set up her classroom every year (labeling notebooks, distributing folders, etc.) and it was sooo much fun

Assigned seating is so important for a plated diner! Especially if there is choice for the main! If you're doing choice, get little dot stickers for the back of the name place cards. That way the servers know which that seat is having. Example: yellow for chicken, pink for fish ect... And also a special colour for allergies or dietary restrictions.

Put the extras from the bags in the bathrooms during the reception. Plus hairspray,hair ties, feminine products floss sticks and a body mist, so your guests have access in case they need something during the party.

I would definitely rent the linens! It for sure MAKES the table and sets the tone once you have a full room or outdoor area full of tables.

I'm going between white matte satin (less expensive) or an ecru colored linen (still not bad in price but more than the satin). Should have them finalized today!

I’m a hair down type of girl always. I did my trial for a half up style with extensions and the curls didn’t last and I didn’t love how it felt overall (we did our engagement shoot) so then I decided for my bridal shower to do another trial and tested a up do and loooooved it. It looked great the whole time no messing around with curls or the style. So that’s what I went with for the wedding day. No regrets. So crazy cause an updo is still not me to this day but it was perfect for my wedding day. So definitely try!

For my friends wedding, she had place cards with the person's name at their assigned spot at the table and then they had icons for their plated option so that the catering staff knew who got what item. I think she made them on Canva and our friend who has a Cricut printed them for her. Maybe Elle could do that since she's crafty and has a cutting machine?
An idea for a favor: for my wedding we had our cake and then later in the evening we had four passed desserts that came out at intervals, and the fourth one was wrapped cookies that said, "Thanks for coming!"

If you’re still wondering about the hair, a looser, more undone version of an updo might be a good way to go rather than a cleaner, more structured updo. There are lots of ways to wear your hair up and still have it feel like you.

I'm planning to do half-up, half-down for my engagement pictures so that on my wedding day I can do up the whole time and not stress about it (I also have always worn my hair up more than down my whole life so I feel like it works better). Of course I still have to get engaged first lol but I already picked my ring so hopefully that will happen next month when I go to Montreal with my boyfriend hihi So excited for you to have the wedding of your dreams!
