So for anyone who doesn't know, u can tame sit in the nest and the parent won't bother you, once you've started the taming process. I've tamed 2 on official without leaving the nest and the parent walking on top of me. Wearing ghillie head chest and legs, no feet no hands
Do gigantoraptors respawn? I found a lvl 150 and began gathering recourses around to make gates and it followed me very far away from the nest every time I got off my tame it would come straight for me so eventually the baby died and the parent disappeared from existence.. The nest is still there as well so I was wondering if they respawned or not because losing a wild lvl 150 sucks.
They do but that sounds glitched. The nest should go away once the parent is dead. So the parent may be wondering somewhere else in the world. The baby dieing / getting tamed will not reset the nest though the parent has to die.
Clear therizonos out to free up spawning for the gigantoraptor as well.
This was nice in theory and on paper, the stat bonuses they get is ok but I would rather just have maewings

There should be just eggs in nest like in wildcard pic before gigantoraptor was out
Ya that would be a viable option. Give players several choices. I really like the way the Hunted mod from ASE handled taming.
If u have a yuty egg farm, you can use Fer yuty eggs

I think wildcard should patched many bugs instead of force players play the way they want. There are freaking eggs jumping around the air coinditionater, laggy servers, terribles meshs in vulcano that you can die just for walking or staying take stamina, games crashes, so in my opinion me and I think most players (to not say all players) will appreciate if they more about the community and listen us, care about do a better game before change gameplay things.

The cheese way makes this tame an early game tame, which is phenomenal. It's a great land mount, you can pick up early game babies with it.
The intended way, makes this tame a mid to late game tame, which makes it pretty worthless. Typical WC wanting you to get stuff AFTER actually needing it.
God forbid we have more early-mid game tames!
My gigaraptor won't feed my bbys why?
They don't feed them until they are over 10% unless you/the player riding the gigantoraptor around.
That’s disgusting that they’re only patching helpful glitches or whatever while half the game is broken like hit reg is worse than ase but that’s not a big problem compared to less annoying taming huh

i despise sacrafical tames ingeneral ik probably majority of the playerbase doesn't care to sacrafice there tribemates and pets to the ark gods to get power of any kind however i do find this idea of thought pretty sickening the only "Valid" Sacrafical tame i feel is worth it is the basilisk from abberation ado i still despise that aswell Troodon is terriable and titanoboa is pretty worthless inless outside pvp and even then u could just make a pit of troodons and titanoboas and then just drop people in them to die a grueling death wich is not nessary to tame them. anyways thanks for the tip of tameing i was thinking a diplodocus could help one person pushs the gigantoraptor away and the other trys to tame the baby at the nest may be a idea?
ya that could work. As long as your not immobilizing it so that when it trys to leave and check its nest it can. There is also a range so try not to push it too far away.

the mechanic is lure and keep the parent away while entertaining the baby until it wants to leave with you.
In an open sandbox game that allows for building and many different ways to play constraining your players and not allowing them to think outside the box defeats the purpose of the game.
Not to mention it shows the devs would rather constrain players spending time to force players to play the way the devs want rather than fixing the issues with the game.

@@CamwayGamingpretty much, but one of you solutions was to ring the net with gates, it wont work bugs the nest every time.

Im on official servers and i just trade or get freebie high lvl eggs 🤷♂️ Got 3 that popped lvl 306. No need for this finicky taming crap if you're on official

This game does not have to become 7DTD where everything is patched out because "we the Devs want you to play our game X way".
Just because I trap the parent, surround the nest with gates, or just trap any dino in general to make it easier for myself *does not* mean that you yourself somehow lose the ability to tame it how wildcard intended, if you think other methods are "brute forcing an actual fun tame".
Taming pens have been a thing since 2015. Do you really, honestly think that after 9 years they should start enforcing this stupid rule especially starting with this mediocre mid-game at best bird?
When u want just 2-3 gigantoraptors to tame it's ok to do this fkn tame with eggs and yeap I made it with eggs at start. But when u need more than 10- 20 for best breeding stats its became a sily non-fun shit.

Wildcard trying to force the playerbase to conform to "play the way we intented" is the same arrogance that lead to the cryopod nerf. Really need to stop with this way of thinking it just drives people from the game especially the more casual oriented player.
I'm a casual player and all I want to do is capture a gigarap the how isn't a problem.
Ya they are having a hard enough time with player retention currently but it is starting to feel intentional like they want to drive players away.
Bad thing this dino si trash as f, only works for early game or if you are too lazy to have all imprinting resources.
