Mido is definitely one of the most underrated brands out there. I feel like they can go toe-to-toe with watch brands that cost twice as much. Love these new pieces

A quality Swiss brand so overlooked by many people! I have an ocean star and was very impressed!

I love the wave pattern, especially on the blue dial. It is stunning. I was first turned on to Mido by my Pop, he loves the brand.

The round indices in this wave pattern dial are interesting and sharp. It has just right enough detailed dial n bezel balance.

I find with the Mido, Tissot, etc. I am buying a watch around the movement. I love the engineering behind the Powermatic 80.

Not a fan of the Day date complication but a decent watch for the money .

They need to make this watch in a Black Dial. That would be perfect but I’m definitely picking up this hulk model.

...Mido is one of those brands I want to like, and I do like the the Ocean Star Tribute in black and especially the Decompression Timer but as far as the 'regular' releases go? Not really for me...

I've been waiting for these to hit the market. Gnomon Watches had them, months ago, but sold out. I have the GMT, a "true traveler's" watch, despite not doing any traveling, lol. I think there's a 600m COSC version that's been around for a while? But this new textured dial looks great. I'm hoping to pick up the green. Appreciate the video!

How do you like the GMT? Like I said I recently got the ocean star tribute I fell in love with this watch... so I've been looking at more Midos you had to the collection. I know it's 44 mm does it wear very big?

@@WatchChris I love mine, but then again I don't tend to wear the smaller watches. It's a true 44, and is actually 47mm to the edge of the crown. So, wears larger than our SBDC061, but provides excellent clarity for the second time zone. Wears similar to my Longines HC Ceramic, except the busier dial pulls it in a bit, visually, on the Mido, so it is very well proportioned in appearance. Doesn't seem pointlessly large if that makes sense? Nice that it has the timing bezel as well (in beautiful ceramic), which is not often found on a GMT. Plus, rare to get a true GMT with 80h PR.

Do you have the blue or black dial?

    • @135ipocketrocket2

@@WatchChris I went with the blue, because I liked the two tone am/pm coloring on the 24 hour rehaut. Fabric strap is okay, comfortable and looks good, but not great to get wet, so I have a navy Crafter Blue strap for it as well, that matched color perfectly. A BluShark NATO with matching brushed hardware works well too, for variety. One of my favorite watches, to be honest. Just so well finished at the price point, plus that 80 hours. I was watching your excellent comparo with your 061 and your Mido, and had to agree, they each do their own thing well. Good you have both!

Wish it was like 3mm smaller 43 seems a bit on the larger side.

Aqua Terra??? More like the Seamaster Professional 300 with the wave dial.

The blue one was on my top list until i seen some youtube videos of it. Seems it is a different more pleasant shade of blue on the Mido website. It is an ugly shad of blue on youtube videos.
