- From a year of loss to a year of hope, GMA Network rekindles the Christmas spirit in the hearts of Yolanda survivors with an outpouring of love that gives them a wonderful new beginning.
This year, Christmas came early to the Kapuso Village in Tacloban as the Network held a salu-salo for beneficiaries who will soon celebrate the Yuletide season in newly-built homes they can call their own. The Kapuso Village in Tacloban is the first permanent housing project in the area for survivors of Typhoon Yolanda, with 49 houses ready for occupancy. By next week, an additional 123 houses will be ready, and in the coming months, 231 more houses will be turned over to their new owners.
“It was likely the first time that these families got to celebrate Christmas since they lost their homes and loved ones to Typhoon Yolanda in November of last year,” said GMA Kapuso Foundation EVP and COO Mel C. Tiangco, who stood witness to the tragedy that the victims suffered with her on-site news coverage of Yolanda’s devastation and GMA Kapuso Foundation’s relief efforts. “Seeing their favorite Kapuso stars make an effort to personally deliver their presents made the occasion all the more special to them.”
In Tacloban, Mel Tiangco was joined by Kapuso stars in handing out food, toys, and Christmas trees to the families in the Kapuso Village.
While in Manila, even more Kapuso personalities shared their love by sponsoring food, toys, treatments and medicines for Kapuso Foundation beneficiaries all over the Philippines, including other Yolanda-affected areas.
Truly, the rebuilding of lives takes a collaborative effort among hearts sharing the same passion and love for others.

I can't stand the people who just visit a certain video or post from the opposing channel of their choice just to comment rude things and bash the channel as well as the artists. This Christmas Station ID was the best. I think GMA Did not focus on what Christmas Station ID they will produce for the year end 2014 rather than that they focused more on their projects that is giving houses to those Yolanda Victim. With just a short clip video they emphasize, give the true meaning of Christmas most especially the year of 2014 who became so memorable for our country - Philippines.
I musy say, we should stop guys comparing each networks Station ID's coz what they really meant for producing it is to show to all Filipinos that no matter what state of life you have, we Filipino's know how to give Love and Celebrate Christmas 🎄

Halatang hindi nanonood ng GMA News o ng 24 Oras si Mr. Ricardo Manolong. Kasi noong kasagsagan ng campaign for fund drive sinasabi ni Ms. Mel Tiangco ang mga NGO at private firms na nagdonate. Nandun din na pinapasalamatan nya yung lahat ng mga nagdonate. Ang hilig mong magreklamo at mag-komento, palpak naman. Tsk tsk tsk.

I am YOLANDA SURVIVOR! I am so touched with the efforts and support given to those who still don't have homes up to now. Surviving in such catastrophe was the best nightmare of my entire life so far. It makes my heart smile upon seeing this video and the song has really moved my senses. No one could ever replace the happiness that the survivors are getting from those who truly care & love them/us. Thanks for motivating a lot of people in doing humanitarian mission and inspiring the entire world of such charitable work. We are still blessed to have people like you nowadays.

Christmas is not a celebration or contest to make everyone compete whos better or not. Station IDs are made for us to inspire. Yes, sometimes there are better concepts or ideas for better presentation but what really matters is the core message that they want their viewers to impart. View it, then learn from it. Learn to say thank u for all the blessings and as well learn to share it to those people around u. It will make your life worthwile than bashing each others opinion. Live the real essence of Christmas.

its not really about how long or short the station ID is..its about the message they convey in their video that surely touched the hearts of the viewers. not only that, they showed sincerity in helping. what they showed on the video is not for show only its what they really did. THEM helping, it is done with ALL honesty.
