The light is absolutely amazing - none of the pervasive atmospheric haze that pervades the summer skies. Crystalline is the best word that I can think of. I now need to go back in late autumn. And bring my heated motorcycle gear. :-)

Percorso effettuato, diverse volte in bici nel mese di settembre, quando lo splendore accecante dell'oro delle conifere ancora non aveva dispiegato tutta la tavolozza dei colori che rendono il percorso una immersione di bellezza sublime che si trasforma in poesia e travalica la realtà . Tutto ciò è anche merito della ripresa senza sussulti con la scelta di una giornata luminosa che restituisce la purezza delle forme del circostante e si accorda col cielo color cobalto. An hour of the most spectacular, stunning and beautiful scenery imaginable! I have driven over all these passes in summer but never in autumn - the light is amazing, the textures of the rock on the Sella and Langkofel show up wonderfully and the larches are just incredible. I must go back! Thank you for a wonderful ride.
