Totally agree with Dyptique. I saw that some people put it in(in the previous video) the same category with Byredo and Jo Malone because they smell kind of naturally... But no...diptyque is definitely better (quality-price). It's stronger, the bottles are quite artsy and majority of their perfumes are very interesting

I'm so glad you included Serge Lutens as it is truly a quality product for a fair price and they do not advertise. In the 80's they were known for makeup.
Demi, why not do something interesting. Have lets say 10 to 15 perfumes from the cheapest to the most expensive and and have women blind folded and have them rated just from the fragrance and see how many can really choose according to price. It might be an eye opener.
Once you get above a certain price point - specifically with a lot of these brands (and some she doesn’t mention) the difference is undeniable. Once you sniff, you can’t help but understand.

I can definitely vouch for FdB. Some are not a style that I would pay that amount for, but several that I've tried are among the best fragrances that I've tried. Malle, Amouage, MFK are def up there.
fragrance du bois‘s packaging is really great, definitely worth the money im paying for. Personally, I really think the packaging of a fragrance is important.

And thank you for standing behind Diptyque and Serge Lutens because these two are very Parisian and very niche quality even if there are far more expensive niche brands than them. I wish you added Memo Paris, I love that brand and as of this moment I have three of their perfumes. Also, Mizensir! So elegant!
I have a very large luxury fragrance (niche and designer) collection and find myself returning to my Diptyque fragrances over my others. They are unique, refined and gorgeous. Diptyque fragrances are consistently well formulated with quality ingredients. They also seem to be the ones I receive the MOST compliments. I also love and own some of the fragrances from Fragrance du Bois, Serge Lutens and BDK and those also result in compliments. While Frederic Malle built an amazing house, I feel Estee Lauder's purchase of the brand resulted in the thinning of the juices of some of my favorites so I haven't been quite as enthusiastic towards the brand.
Love Diptyque that I even purchased their latest Advent Calendar, they smell classy & refreshing. I especially love their clean design. In fact, it's very good value compared to those niche fragrances. Thanks for your recommendation!
I agree with you for most of these brands. FdB is just a bit overpriced for me. That's just my opinion (the bottles are gorgeous and of course it comes with a price too). But PdM, I really don't get the hype with these fragrances. There are also lots of smaller brands out there that definitely worth the money and would deserve more hype to my opinion : Heeley, Dusita, l'Orchestre parfum ...

Dyptique for me is amazing! Their fragrances are very unique smelling. And so beautiful. I love and have Fleur de Peau, Do Son, and Eau de Sens. I definitely want to try Initio and MFK. I definitely like to try the other brand you mentioned as well.

Imo a house definitely worth the money is Atelier Cologne. Extremely high quality naturally derived fragrances at a reasonable price point. They're primarily known for their citrus freshies but personally I love Vanille Incensee and they have many other appealing options.
That last video was incredibly brave and this has cemented your status as an elite fragrance reviewer. Because of your recommendation I'm saving up to purchase Amouage.
I dunno I buy Kilian on the grey market for about 200$ same as tom fords. Also €225 at duty free, not an impossible price. For gems like Love and Black Phanthom for sure. Plus you’re getting refills substantially cheaper so in the long run Kilian is cheaper than some other mentioned niches.
Yes, I agree w/you on that...prices for By Kilian fragrances are not excessively more than many of the other luxury brands she mentioned in this video. All brands have releases that are better than others...Straight to Heaven & Black Phantom are two of my By Kilian faves!

Everything you recommended here is APPROVED by me 100%. By the way, Parfums de Marly is one the BEST fragrance lines and I own 6 different perfumes from this brand. I LOVE THEM. Also, MFK and Frederic Malle are also two of the greatest perfume brands.
Thanks for you honesty. I love your recommendations. I bought a large bottle of bal d'Afrique a few years ago and its basically vinegar now. That has never happened with any other perfume and I have a lot. Super disappointing.
My bottle of Bal d'Afrique also turned so quickly too! It ended up smelling plasticky when it smelled amazing when I first bought it. I was going to repurchase but after seeing a few people say the same thing about their bottles turning, I'm very hesitant to put money into buying it again. It was honestly one of my favourite perfumes, too. 😢
ur not just paying for the production or package ur paying for the perfumer skill in making way smell good . Why spend cheap one that smell like everyone and last for 5 minute when you can pay for unique one that smells unique and stand out.
After a certain point when you can no longer smell it on yourself you are paying for someone elses scent experience. Is 600 worth it just for a stranger to enjoy on you? Not to me.
Serge Lutens is my favorite brand! Just blind brought Rouge Smoking from bdk parfums and sadly there's hardly any projection or sillage. I think I may have a bad bottle since everyone raves about this brand. So far they haven't responded back to my email. You introduced me to Initio parfums and I love them!
Pauses, then googles BDK. The Tuberuese looks great! I appreciate the brands you’ve introduced me to, like Fragrances Du Bois. I did a bit of research, and they totally look like they’re worth it. I’d have to stick to the lower end. Smaller, quality productions are more expensive. I need to get some samples from Lucky Scent. Have you tried Tiziana Terenzi? I just got my 2nd perfume from them , Halley. I love it! I’ve never seen such beautiful packaging! Every part of it, is a keepsake, especially the bottle! The juice smells like an experience.
I totally agree with all of your choices. Only one I am still skeptical about is Diptyque. I love Eau Capital, Eau Duelle, Orpheon and one more that I can’t remember now. However, the scent does not last that long at all to me. So I feel like the price is not worth it.
101% agree with you about houses that are not so original and a lot of their creations are just inspired juices or even dupes after other brands succesful creations, but let’s be really fair and put in that category also Parfums de Marly or Initio (the little brother). They make almost the same thing as Tiziana Terenzi , zero originality.......i mean comeone Godolphin/TF- tuscan leather, Oajan/Hermes- ambre narguile, Initio rehab - V&R spicebomb, and even between their own brands: atomic rose - delina or high frequency - pegasus. I also agree that PDM prices are super fair and quality is there but they’re no different than other “inspired” houses. Frederic Malle is indeed the king house that worth every single penny. Yes! OMG, yes! The Key Word : „Consistency” .The consistency is definitely worth investing in and needs to be appreciated. Personally I also adore when you can smell the DNA in all of the fragrances.It makes a complete story. I always look at the releases of one brand to be either the same person in a different parts and stages of life or a family of individuals that have their personality,but share the same blood, so no matter what is happening , in the end they gather and sit at the table together . Very spot on video, Demi! I would also add Chanel,but this is more on the designer side of the market- they are VERY consistent and I could talk a lot why I love the brand in general, so I better abstain from that. As far as PDM I can attest to the quality of the bottle. Received Carlisle today and while unwrapping the box separated and the bottle dropped from chest height onto a tile floor........OMG my heart sank..........bottle didn’t even receive a scratch THANK GOD!!!!! The scent is far more beautiful and complex than can ever be described! Definitely a fan!

I agree with you list yet again. I own a mix of these brands. Don't yet own anything from Diptyque, FDB. BDK, or Initiio though I have wishlist fragrances for DFB and Initio. I need to test out Diptyque some more as I have only tested a couple fragrances from them. I have never tried anything from BDK. I'll have to look into that house. My favorite house is Papillon Artisan Perfumes. They make great fragrances. You should check them out.

Demi you are the only perfume reviewer I trust. I have purchase many perfumes because of your recommendations and I have never been disappointed. I even splurged on Fragrance Du Bois and bought 2 small bottles because of the 10% discount you offered viewers. I was not wearing perfume for years because I could not find one I liked. They all started smelling the same....none were unique. I would rather spend $300 on one bottle than own 5 perfumes I never wear. Anyways thank you for your honesty and amazing expertise in fragrance!
By MFK you get so many masterpieces. Yes, everyone know "Baccarat Rouge 540" and "Oud Satin Mood", but what is with "Lumière Noire Homme", "APOM Homme", "gentle Fluidity (Silver)"? All these perfumes are so easy to wear, but at the same time so unique. Do you know "APOM Homme" and "Lumière Noire Homme"?

The only full bottle niche fragrance I own is from the house of Mancera and it's Cedrat Boise and you discreetly bashed their house lol. It's all good, I personally don't take offense to that and everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I get that there are too many to add to this list, but I want to buy a Roja perfume for my next "milestone" birthday. so I was hoping it was one you think is worth the money. I'd love to see a Roja video featuring gourmand to see your opinion so I know what to order samples of. I love Serge Lutens, but seems like the last few offerings were a little too "strange" for me. I preferred the 50 ml bottles because I either tire of them because new perfumes come out or as my next milestone b day is 60, I may never use them all up. haha. Diptique is good I actually like! Serge is not one I I have ever found one I like ... frederic malle is not consistent at all in my opinion, maybe like you say conceptual? Which means there's an actual concept or artistic idea behind a fragrance? But some of the fragrances are strong and good I agree, but some of them are really short lasting and none of them are really that good in my opinion LOL… I feel like they are kind of a trend if you ask me? But that's just my opinion… Most of these I still need to try others and don't have access like you guys do on the other side of the world… Great video!

Eau Duelle Edp is one of my favourites. Very realistic vanilla smelling and it lasts 8 hrs on my skin.

Ken Fern pdm isn’t lasting at all.. got layton and herod bud after 3 hours the smell disappears (i asked others too if they still could smell it)

Pauses, then googles BDK. The Tuberuese looks great! I appreciate the brands you’ve introduced me to, like Fragrances Du Bois. I did a bit of research, and they totally look like they’re worth it. I’d have to stick to the lower end. Smaller, quality productions are more expensive. I need to get some samples from Lucky Scent. Have you tried Tiziana Terenzi? I just got my 2nd perfume from them , Halley. I love it! I’ve never seen such beautiful packaging! Every part of it, is a keepsake, especially the bottle! The juice smells like an experience.
I was disappointed in diptqye candles. The smell disapated quickly - my immediate thought was, oh, will their fragrances be like that?
Jo Loves, Cire Trudon and Tom Ford make great candles.
I totally agree with all of your choices. Only one I am still skeptical about is Diptyque. I love Eau Capital, Eau Duelle, Orpheon and one more that I can’t remember now. However, the scent does not last that long at all to me. So I feel like the price is not worth it.

101% agree with you about houses that are not so original and a lot of their creations are just inspired juices or even dupes after other brands succesful creations, but let’s be really fair and put in that category also Parfums de Marly or Initio (the little brother). They make almost the same thing as Tiziana Terenzi , zero originality.......i mean comeone Godolphin/TF- tuscan leather, Oajan/Hermes- ambre narguile, Initio rehab - V&R spicebomb, and even between their own brands: atomic rose - delina or high frequency - pegasus. I also agree that PDM prices are super fair and quality is there but they’re no different than other “inspired” houses. Frederic Malle is indeed the king house that worth every single penny. Yes! OMG, yes! The Key Word : „Consistency” .The consistency is definitely worth investing in and needs to be appreciated. Personally I also adore when you can smell the DNA in all of the fragrances.It makes a complete story. I always look at the releases of one brand to be either the same person in a different parts and stages of life or a family of individuals that have their personality,but share the same blood, so no matter what is happening , in the end they gather and sit at the table together .

I would also add Chanel,but this is more on the designer side of the market- they are VERY consistent and I could talk a lot why I love the brand in general, so I better abstain from that.

As far as PDM I can attest to the quality of the bottle. Received Carlisle today and while unwrapping the box separated and the bottle dropped from chest height onto a tile floor........OMG my heart sank..........bottle didn’t even receive a scratch THANK GOD!!!!! The scent is far more beautiful and complex than can ever be described! Definitely a fan!

I agree with you list yet again. I own a mix of these brands. Don't yet own anything from Diptyque, FDB. BDK, or Initiio though I have wishlist fragrances for DFB and Initio. I need to test out Diptyque some more as I have only tested a couple fragrances from them. I have never tried anything from BDK. I'll have to look into that house. My favorite house is Papillon Artisan Perfumes. They make great fragrances. You should check them out.

Fragrance du Bois is my favorite. Might be biased since that was my first expensive fragrance. Since I've started watching this channel I have added Parfum de Marly and a Tom Ford. Your opinions are pretty spot on to how they are. Thank you!

I even splurged on Fragrance Du Bois and bought 2 small bottles because of the 10% discount you offered viewers. I was not wearing perfume for years because I could not find one I liked. They all started smelling the same....none were unique. I would rather spend $300 on one bottle than own 5 perfumes I never wear. By MFK you get so many masterpieces. Yes, everyone know "Baccarat Rouge 540" and "Oud Satin Mood", but what is with "Lumière Noire Homme", "APOM Homme", "gentle Fluidity (Silver)"? All these perfumes are so easy to wear, but at the same time so unique. Do you know "APOM Homme" and "Lumière Noire Homme"?
The scent of the juice from Fragrance Du Bois is amazing but that cap is hideous. I really hope that they improve the aesthetics.

Very nice houses, i love SL, BDK and Diptyque, but for me Xerjoff is the top of the list! Nothing can overrun this house at least my nose thinks so 😊
The only full bottle niche fragrance I own is from the house of Mancera and it's Cedrat Boise and you discreetly bashed their house lol. It's all good, I personally don't take offense to that and everyone's entitled to their own opinion. I do enjoy wearing Cedrat Boise since it's a little more versatile and mass appealing and I have received compliments wearing it.

Lot’s of respect of respect for these videos. It takes guts to say you don’t think something is worth the money. I actually like Mancera, too me it’s a great entry level niche house; but hey, we all have our differing opinions and I love hearing yours.
I get that there are too many to add to this list, but I want to buy a Roja perfume for my next "milestone" birthday. so I was hoping it was one you think is worth the money. I'd love to see a Roja video featuring gourmand to see your opinion so I know what to order samples of. I love Serge Lutens, but seems like the last few offerings were a little too "strange" for me. I preferred the 50 ml bottles because I either tire of them because new perfumes come out or as my next milestone b day is 60, I may never use them all up. haha. Thanks for your reviews, really helps point me in the right direction of what to sample.

I would of thought Roja Dove would be on this list.but definitely agree with Fredrich Malle being on this list.
Diptique is good I actually like! Serge is not one I I have ever found one I like ... frederic malle is not consistent at all in my opinion, maybe like you say conceptual? Which means there's an actual concept or artistic idea behind a fragrance? But some of the fragrances are strong and good I agree, but some of them are really short lasting and none of them are really that good in my opinion LOL… I feel like they are kind of a trend if you ask me? But that's just my opinion… Most of these I still need to try others and don't have access like you guys do on the other side of the world… Great video!
