Hey man! Just saw this video a year after it came out, but it still is great. Used your technique and my new fender came out looking great! Thanks man. Ride safe
ok I'm late but dude you just save me so much money just bought the bike today and was going to go on eBay to get it Eliminator tomorrow soon as I got paid and then I came across this video you sir my friend have earned a subscriber
I gave this a try after I saw this. I had to do a couple things different but it turned out good. And it’s free! I’m thinking about mounting the tag light under it just so I don’t get pulled over at night.
Good, I’m glad you could save some money. I ended up using those license plate bolts with the LEDs in them, I think they cost me like $12 or something from the local auto parts store. Good luck
I LOVE ❤️ DIY!! Your fix looks as good as many aftermarket kits, many of which are just stamped and bent pieces of sheet metal. It's also nice that you didn't have to cut any of the wiring. I cringed when you used the hacksaw near the tire and cried a little when you scratch the plastic with the file.
Thanks. Ya that was just pure laziness on my part for not taking it back off to file it, the scratch is still there reminding me to not be a dumbass anymore.
It was painful to see you scratch the plastic with that file... sorry dude... Hope the scratches were not too bad. I get rid of those tail lights entirely and go with an integrated tail light that has the blinkers built in. Thats what I did... I wish i would have seen this before buying my fender eliminator kit though.
Thanks, yeah I still cringe every time I walk by and see the scratches, they're not too bad though mostly just on the sticker. I personally think the turn signals make it look more complete back there. Thanks for watching.
Thats funny, I looked at eliminator kits before I took all that crap off then went to a hardware store and bought like $3 in some cheap hardware. I have other riders asking me where I bought mine and how much.
Nice! Loose 40 pounds of junk and save $150 over a fender eliminator kit. The only thing I would have done is give the plate a little angle. That's just me besides some places that is illegal to have any kind of angle on you plate.
Sure, if you're lazy and want to keep the stock lights and have an extra 80 to 200 bucks laying around, or in that case why not just leave all the stock stuff on there and save all that labour and money? Doing this kind of stuff is my hobby so none of it is labour to me and I'm sharing my creativity through video in case others share my creativity but may be in need of a little inspiration.
Dude, you're like the free FZ 07 upgrade man!
+Philthy Phil lol nice

+Sparkz World Thanks, I just try to show people that you don't have to spend a lot of money if you're willing to do a little work yourself.

TheMotorcycleVlogs / TMV ok yea. I was wondering. Same wring too right?
What about the license plate light?
Yes, I have plans for that but I don't ride during dark hours so you can't tell.

Side panel scratched, lights destroyed, lots of labor hours………..not worth it. Just pay the 80.
