A little late to this train but, I grew up on the Moody's, and saw them in concert. I'm amazed at how well this version nails the emotional impact of the original and is still it's own animal. This album has definitely impressed me in a big way.
I recently discovered this song and it immediately transports me back to NYE 2022... Where we were sitting on a balcony, enjoying the fireworks. Hugging. Holding each other. Damn, I miss you... ♥
Very beautiful! I'm really getting into this band . . . . awesome! (EDIT) - And the Metal is just as brilliant as her fantastic voice!. I really am loving this!
tonight i fell in love with this group..i have always wanted to hear someone good do this song and tonight i finally heard it done the best it could possibly be done..gives me chills all over. so does their song "devout".
Well done! The Moody Blues created one of rock's greatest classics with this song and it takes real courage and talent to do a cover of it. You did an excellent job, not only with it sounding great, but arranging it in a way that really makes it unique to you. Cheers!
Her voice is haunting. I can't think of a better way to put it. Drums are amazing btw. Who thought this song needed blast beats? Combined with her voice... amazing.
Arjen Lucassen sent me here (sorta). Yesterday i had a long drive, and i downloaded some new music, including this. Listening to this song had me in tears. I guess it's a compounding effect of an exceptional cover of an exceptional song. I wasn't familiar with the original song by Moody Blues (well, i think i may have heard it somewhere long ago, but didn't really know it; i haven't recognized it and only found out it's a cover later).
Great cover, though I wish they added the backing vocals in the chorus. I think they would have made it sound just a bit more haunting than this already is
Well this was absolutely great and actually still pretty until the drummer snorted a line of coke during the "flute" solo and flipped shit and didnt calm down once the song resumed made it sound like dog shit! Very disappointing after that just wondering who told him that sounded good or was a good idea.
fully agree. vocals fine. instrumentals ok except metal guitar. drums far excessive. IMHO there are few covers of NIWS worthy of the effort. Not even the presentation in John Lodge's solo show.
Yeah...I was completely "transported" until the drummer went crazy and it almost ruined the atmosphere...But thankfully things got better after that...
I get the feeling they like to try different approaches, so I appreciate the desire, but I agree. The double-kick portion was wonderful, but the blast-beat thing just doesn't work for me.
Moody Blue is a band I grew up on. My mom played them and now at 46 I get this song even more now. Hearing this song I relive the 80's everytime.🌌🤘😌❤
Absolutely F**king amazing! Should have 6 million followers....
The drum work on this is crazy!!!!!

One of my favourite songs of all time... This cover is possibly better than the original... Blown away
Outstanding, respectful cover, adding to the power of the original lyrics.
thank you so much for sharing with the world this beautiful song. A big salute from Argentina.
I'm a fan of the Moody Blues, seen them live 3 times. Absolutely gorgeous cover.

Agree
I would agree, and I would click like, but it has exactly 666 likes right now, so this is a bit of a tricky situation for my 14 year old self.
Watch it again!

Amazing band. One of the best of this era.
Bring more blast beats to classic rock. I love it. Perfect cover.

What a great singer, and of course song.

Just-for-fun: play this back-to-back with the Dickies' 1979 version!
""...I can't say anymore..."
GORGEOUS OCEANS❤❤❤❤❤

Knights of White Satan! In all seriousness, a great cover by a great band.

I'm usually very skeptical about cover songs, but WOW this is an improvement on the original. Very good.
IMMACULATE
that drum solo T.T
Thanks
Realmente es un gran cover, es dulce pero muy dark y metálico. Es una Obra de arte..
Wirklich toll und Atmosphärisch umgesetzt. Nur die schnellen Parts wirken für mich etwas fehl am Platz. Trotzdem, top Coverversion.
👌
2:52. People will understand.
IZ.
IzzyHaveMercy it was unexpected

He's a metal drummer after all, too damn hard to stay within the restrained playing.
fully agree. vocals fine. instrumentals ok except metal guitar. drums far excessive. IMHO there are few covers of NIWS worthy of the effort. Not even the presentation in John Lodge's solo show.

Overrated song but ok😊
