I bought these for my mom in the early 90s and wound up inheriting the unopened set 5 yrs ago. 2yrs ago, my childhood beastie found her grandmothers stash of these (also unopened) and gave me the duplicates. These sticks are more than 30yrs old! I have since tried them, stenciled some stained t shirts and they turned out awesome! The oils are creamy and other than the pain of peeling off that frst layer, so satisfying to use.

This was a lovely rundown of what these are capable of. Thanks!

Oh this is amazing! I was just starting to think about buying them. I am an acrylic painter and sort of afraid of oils but combining the two is so appealing. And trying for abstract for me would sort of take the pressure off. I have seen that working on a board is easier because you have to press hard and a stretched canvas does not do as well. Thanks! One of the main things holding me back is peeling of the sticks but I have heard if you wrap them in plastic wrap that helps.

I wanted to try out some oil sticks, Sennelier is out of my budget for the time being and these looked very interesting for trying out of the cheap. Thank you for the review!👍🏻💕
