This verb is used as a full verb, as an auxiliary verb and as a functional verb. In the present tense, the verb is conjugated as follows: ich bin, du bist, er/sie/es ist, wir sind, ihr seid, sie/Sie sind; in the past tense: ich war, du warst, er/sie/es war, wir waren, ihr wart, sie/Sie waren.
