Is really cool to see some sign writing done in a more traditional manner instead of using vinyl all the time. You make it look so easy as well but I couldn't get lines that sharp if I tried!
That is so relaxing to watch you work your magic. Thank you for bringing us along. I do have a question though. In this video, what are you using for the engine turn in your drill setup? That turns out so brilliant!
Hi i want to start pinstriping and i live in Iran,i have bought one pinstriping brush with so many difficulty's. and paints are so pricey for me to buy. Is there any alternative type of paint, that i can use? I'm afraid to ruin my brush
Awesome work there. Just watched your pinstriping tutorial, gave me the confidence to attempt my own striping on my bike. TRUST me I'll be doing ALOT of practice first !! Any plans to do a flame tutorial in the near future?
Looks really good Jen. I was wondering how you do your sketches. Do you just free hand those letters that get pounced or do you have a method that helps trace it? Thanks for your help!
@@HotRodJenPinstriping Kool, just wondering. I am building a 69. I went through a similar situation building my shop too. Things have a way of interfering. But in a good way.
What kind of clear coat do you have used to not loose the holografic effect on the leaf? When i use clear coat , the leaf loses the effect unfortunately
i use a 2k auto clear, if the leaf is engine turn with a nice turn, then you should not loose the brilliance, if the leaf was sunken into the size then it will look dull when cleared also clear will change the look of variegated leaf and thats just expected
if you are referring to the white paper that has my pattern on it, its plotter/bond paper, its what can be fed thru a printer/plotter, comes on a big roll. it can go by different names depending on where you get it, some call it poster paper too
hiya! i brush on a 2k automotive clear coat, usually 2 coats. It's safer under a clear applied by a spraygun but that would mean scuffing down the whole door and then applying a clear on the whole surface, most customers are not willing to do that. Applying a clearcoat with a brush has been done for decades and will hold up well if cared for
Don't forget to LIKE this video👍👍👍👍👍👍

Jen another great video. Tkx Q: did you apply anything to seal it all? of just want and the owner will wax it all? Tkx
I brushed clear on the gold then all the paint is fine no need for top coating any of that
Great work, Did you clear the whole door or just the lettering?
only the gold lettering everything else is good without clear

hey Jen! awesome video! What brush did you use to do your blue highlight lining?
Great work! When you prepped the door with denatured alcohol, did you use it straight out of the can or mix it 50/50 with distilled water? Thanks
Do you use a specific type of velvet? Also, did you wrap a pre existing bit? Thank you
Awesome job, btw how is the Nova project?
thanks, nova was put on the back burner nov of 2022 due to me having surgery and then building my shop in 2023. hoping to get back on it in the spring

Not really concerned about Ur content volume. Just hope all is good with You and Yours. Thanks 4 all you do👍🎶
I'm curious what kinda material is on the end of your leaf spinner. I'm just getting into leafing.
It's velvet :) all my genuine l3af work gets spun with velvet

Hi I'm trying to learn pin stripe and I have one question how do you come up with your design
that develops the more you paint. if you keep references around of moves you like it helps.
you're actually hot Jen, not just hotROD Jen. xo
can ı ask is this paper letterhead ?
if you are referring to the white paper that has my pattern on it, its plotter/bond paper, its what can be fed thru a printer/plotter, comes on a big roll. it can go by different names depending on where you get it, some call it poster paper too
thank you for info. so ı can use it on my gilding works right?@@HotRodJenPinstriping
How do you clearcoat the gold? I know its usually with a spraygun, but that would leave unwanted "fogmarks" right? Nice job, fun to watch!
