    Is really cool to see some sign writing done in a more traditional manner instead of using vinyl all the time. You make it look so easy as well but I couldn't get lines that sharp if I tried!

    What clear do you use for the gold leafing?

  • @andrezaohb
    @andrezaohb ปีที่แล้ว

    What kind of clear coat do you have used to not loose the holografic effect on the leaf? When i use clear coat , the leaf loses the effect unfortunately

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i use a 2k auto clear, if the leaf is engine turn with a nice turn, then you should not loose the brilliance, if the leaf was sunken into the size then it will look dull when cleared also clear will change the look of variegated leaf and thats just expected

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      if you are referring to the white paper that has my pattern on it, its plotter/bond paper, its what can be fed thru a printer/plotter, comes on a big roll. it can go by different names depending on where you get it, some call it poster paper too

    How do you clearcoat the gold? I know its usually with a spraygun, but that would leave unwanted "fogmarks" right? Nice job, fun to watch!

    • @HotRodJenPinstriping
      @HotRodJenPinstriping  8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      hiya! i brush on a 2k automotive clear coat, usually 2 coats. It's safer under a clear applied by a spraygun but that would mean scuffing down the whole door and then applying a clear on the whole surface, most customers are not willing to do that. Applying a clearcoat with a brush has been done for decades and will hold up well if cared for

    • @henrydelgada
      @henrydelgada 8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HotRodJenPinstriping Had no idea you could use a brush. Thank you very much for teaching us! Keep up the good work :)
