Martin didnt actually have an illegal carburetor, he had spacer there, which was illegal as teams could sneak extra air into the engine with said spacer, however thats only if it was bolted in place wheras martin's was welded, thus no advantage. The only reason they did that was because it was easier to build and they hadnt been whacked with a penalty for it last season

Just to play devil's advocate, Schumacher had not raced in a Formula One car for over 2 years at that point, while Edwards was at the prime of his career and had just come off of what would be the best statistical season of his entire career. But I still think the commentators being like, "noooooo schumi must have made a mistake" when the reality was that he got flat out beat is just hilarious. Massive egg on their face.
I had a former boss that was a major part of the Andretti NASCAR deal. He told me they had Kurt Busch signed on, had a shop picked out, and just needed final approval by all the major people at Dodge. If I remember right he said the top dog at Dodge even approved it then the guy over Dodge Motorsports denied it, killing the deal.

Regarding the gen 7 crash test dummy, someone from nascar did come out a few days after the rumor started and said that either the dummy's sensors or the controlling robots (don't remember which) had malfunctioned and that the test had failed in the sense of not going off properly instead of failing in the sense of the dummy "dying". Don't know that anything was ever released publicly to confirm this, but if you're gonna talk about what the rumor was I feel the official story rebutting the rumor should at least be mentioned.
The testing on the gen 7 really shouldn't be a controversy, because that's what the crash testing is for, to catch stuff like that so it can be rectified before a driver passes from an accident. Though now that I think of it, it may also be due to the fact that if it weren't for the pandemic, the cars would have been in use at that point anyways.

I remember back in 2015 when there was talks about James Hinchcliffe doing some road courses races in NASCAR, but nothing went on since.

You are wrong about that black girl being the only one soliciting funds to go racing in NASCAR. There was a driver that did it for years, "Morgan Shepard" ! He brow beat race teams for funds every week ! Not so subtly threatening to expose people and teams that did not donate, as anti christian. Remember his car sponsors, "Racing For Jesus" and the like?
