Your spoken English is great (and that’s what matters the most), but if you really want to improve it the best way is to to get a Canadian best friend or boy/girl-friend and avoid socializing in a Korean clique where everyone feels comfortable speaking Korean.
I've hosted many Koreans coming to Canada on a work visa. Many of them did very well and were able to adjust. This is Montreal where French is also an obstacle. One unfortunately didn't do so well but that has more to do with her personality than where she came from. She had a very hard time and did not travel or explore much and left once her visa expired and did not want to extend. The others travelled and tried everything Canadian and Italian since I am originally from Italy. One of my first roommates in uni was Korean. She invited me to Korea during Christmas holidays, one of my best vacation experiences ever. Her family graciously hosted me and never forgot how I always took their daughter back to my home village on weekends or holidays as she was from too far away. We still keep in touch after 20 years!!!!
I can tell you have a strong spirit and you will go far in life. Please stay 💪and continue to experience life fully. Don't be too hard on yourself because you're doing something very difficult. If I went to Korea at your age I would be very scared not knowing the language. So yes, you're a very brave young lady with a beautiful voice and you will succeed in life ☮👍☮
Beautiful voice. I came with the same visa about 10 years ago. I still remember the day. In just 100 days you had good times and bad times. You will find more those times in your future. You will lost again and find a way just like you did in the 100 days. Sometimes you want to cry but remember something good will happen like the kitty showed up to you. You are a blight person. Hope for the best your future.
Word of advice: don't come to Vancouver in the autumn or winter... come in early spring April. Then by June you'll understand why people want to live here. By November you'll get homesick but by then , you will have made friends.
I'm sorry to hear that your first employer took advantage of you. You only need to provide 2 weeks of notice when leaving employment. Thank you for giving Vancouver another chance!
immigration is what makes this great nation what we are. so i see you as Canadian as me, even though i've was born here as were many generations of my family behind me. you have that pioneer spirit. please stay. p.s. lovely film, by the way.
There are about 30,000 official occupations in Canada. That suggests at least 30,000 workplace type communities. There's even supposed to be an occupation for lazy people.... Invent something. I suspect with more advanced technology there are more occupations. The community where you are happiest, may be based upon common interests. Of course, if you are a rare or unusual person, it's more difficult to find your community. In terms of fun, we always looked what the local people did for fun.
You should get a job in the casino. You'll be able to talk to lots of people. Lots of Koreans work there too. Your coffee shop boss who scolded you is a bad person, and wrong. You are not required to give notice at all. But 2 weeks is the norm if you want a reference from that employer.
This Canadian doesn’t eat garbage like Timbits; or use alcohol. You can see the chubbiness from your use of these substances. Eat smart - feel better. Enjoyed the doc. Thank you.

volunteer at library, friend a english speaking person to ask what words mean and how to pronounce, who will practice with you. ❤
If she was rating Timbits every day, that's probably why she didn't have any energy after work.
