This game could work in the States if you spice it up. Maybe have 30 questions instead of 15 over 3 minutes and a category for each round like the original broadcast did. And more money, natch.
I think that i would spice the game up in the another way: Firstly, the money tree after every series of 5 rounds (or, as we name it in Russia, "lap") should raise in arithmetic progresson. (Imagine, e.g. the US tree as follows: $500-$1,000-$2,000-$4,000-$10,000. So, the tree on 2nd lap will be $1,000-...-$20,000 and $30,000 in bank after this lap; $1,500-...-$30,000 on the 3rd lap and $60,000 in bank after this lap; etc.). So, contestant can reach big cash prizes rather quickly, and TV home viewers' prizes will be unlimited too. Moreover, you can add an option "all or nothing": after 2nd lap before every 5th round, if contestant has no flips or less than 1 minute, he can get 1 minute/1 flip, but he risks with all amount of money, and his bank during 5th round isn't guaranteed. If he passes through 5th round, his bank become guaranteed again, but if he fails, he risks with all amount of money. And home viewer, if the bong sounded, can take all this amount. Maybe, sometimes there are should be celebrity series.
This was one of my favorite quiz shows, the guy called Stephen was amazing..👍🏾.
I remember one of the easyJet cabin crew who starred in _Airline_ went on this programme as part of one episode!
Yeah, Mark from Somerset i knew him from airline.
Brilliant
I believe Stephen Cooke is now an Egghead on The BBC/CHANNEL 5 Quiz Show EGGHEADS
Thats Steve from the Eggheads
Man, the host is either slow on reading the question or slow on purpose so the contestant lose precious second along the way
Whoa, the first guy was good
And nowadays an Egghead.
