Yesssss, this is probably my all-time favorite game and I’m so happy to see Sarah cover it!! Full disclosure there are in game purchases for cosmetics, some of which are limited time, so if you are weak to FOMO and do not want to spend money just beware of that. Anyways, on to my little spiel! Make sure to play the game with headphones, because the soundtrack is magnificent. The entire game is based around the theme of discovery and friendship, so you will be given very little instruction. Just give yourself up to the confusion folks, because discovering little things for yourself is incredibly satisfying. And if you have the chance or are okay doing so, try to experience the game with someone else! Veteran players can help guide you to secrets, and playing with other moths (newbies) is just chaotic fun while bumbling around. The game has a main storyline, and at the end you may feel as though you completed the game. However, there is so much more to find! Seasonal events (“Days of”) come around very regularly, and the “seasons” will continue to be playable even after they have ended. And there is a ridiculous number of cosmetics to collect, so much that if you start now it will quite literally take years to collect all the available ones. It’s also a fantastic place to meet new people or chat with irl friends. You can aim to challenge the music system and become a pro, decorate your nest, take photos and videos, act out or watch plays in the theatre, or just goof around by yourself or with others! I highly recommend at least playing through it once, since it is free to play, and if you liked it, stick around to discover the other secrets! If you start now, the next few events to come by will be the Alice in Wonderland collab event as well as the Days of Feast, which is the winter seasonal event. And if anyone needs any help, feel free to message me, I can help guide you!
I tried to start playing this a few weeks ago and was mostly just wandering around confused. I set the game down for a minute and when I came back my character had inexplicably turned into a crab. I gave up after that 🫠

I play this game to unwind after a long day. Flying, playing instruments and kidnapping moths along the way. 😗
