My entire spiritual path is dedicated to the Dark Mother, the Pythonic Tarot is dedicated specifically to Hekate - so you definitely picked up on that energy correctly! I also have a strong devotion to Persephone, who embodies that comment you made about the figures being young, but timeless and ancient at the same time :)
I am currently working on a brand new oracle deck that will be exploring elements and deities that are a focus of my personal practice, including a lot of more obscure entities & spirits from Greek mythology, poisonous plants and images taken directly from some of my more prophetic, symbolic dreams. I'll be sure to get a copy of that to you once it's ready (still a year or so away from being done.) I also have a large size, full colour Pythonic Tarot artbook in the works that will be out next year. Thank you again for your support!
NWTS was so fun - and hanging out with you for the entire weekend was definitely my favourite part!! I've been all out of sorts the last little bit lately, so I feel ya there. THAT GREEN EDGING in Trick or Treat Tarot is SO GOOD.
Did you see on Sasha Graham's TH-cam channel that she is releasing an audio guide for Tarot of the Haunted House? She has already done majors, cups, and pentacles, and I'm loving the additional insights. It's an incredibly narrative deck, with court cards appearing throughout the minors. I love Urban Crow; it's so smart in incorporating actual crow behavior into the keywords (and pairs well with almost all my more autumnal decks)! I've loved the guidebook for learning more about crows and the way that adds nuance to the keywords (e.g. for "Memory" I learned that crows remember and hold grudges and pass these memories on to their offspring, for "Displacement" that they will take out their sadness and anger on inanimate objects). I read it straight through, and came away with a new appreciation for crows!
Oh you got my deck! ❤ I'm so happy to hear you like it! ❤ and you have the complete deck, I had a 30 cards deck originally called Zombie Oracle but than I made another 30 and called that season 2: Utopia but made both available together as well. I also really like the prompts for the Monthly medicine, such clever ones for the season! And I think next year I'll get the Vampire tarot, everyone keeps raving about the guidebook 😅
I actually got the Fool's Dog app for Tarot of the Vampires just so I could have access to the book, so if the artwork isn't your thing, that's an option too. I love their apps - I don't really use them for reading but they're great for studying the cards, especially those decks that come with juicy guidebooks! I can't with JBG artwork, I don't really understand the hype over it, it's a hard nope for me.
Lolol having my middle name be Dawn, I understand what you're saying. It's just a little extra something/connection in a deck when I see it there. I purchased the indie version of the crow oracle before it went mass market. I was on the fence but when I saw the Boston Terrier on the card I bought it immediately. I have a red BT and have never seen a Boston in a deck before. Instant sale..lol 😅🤣😉💜 I agree about the guidebook, it fell flat for me too. Great video once again, thank you. I adore your trick or treat tarot bag and the bright green edging. Love it!! I sooo want the trick or treat tarot but won't allow myself to buy it. I just know I'd never use it.
Hi Dawn, I find all your videos informative and fun. No matter the length or the side track talks. 😘 Random question do you have a tutorial or video on how you make your bags? I kind of searched, but not great with that on some platforms. Talk about old! LOL I really like the way your bags are designed and would love to try making one for myself. Thank you
I do have a video, I think it's called how I make my bags or something along those lines. If you search my channel directly you should be able to find it. I've tweaked the materials a little (for example I no longer use fabric glue and instead use Pellon Fusible fleece for the inner lining) but the process is still basically the same. It's not professional, but it works for me. :) I hope that helps!
