这个的example有给错吗？如果s=t2+4t-12 , 那y-intercept就会是-12，那样的话他最一开始的起点应该就会是-12，可是题目给的graph是说从O开始的graph,O不是origin吗？origin不应该是 O吗？那equation应该是要不会有y-intecept才对呀

it means given the equation of displacement (S) ,you can find any S at any time (t) given. i.e. at t=0s , S=-12m
The S is being calculated from origin O which is zero (the true meaning of "from a fixed point O").
Hence the particle initially located at the left, 12metre away from the origin.
