    I did the Tikal Trek in 2009 and again in 2017 and was on top of temple four before sunrise and it was an absolutely amazing experience that still gives me goosebumps thinking about it. Hope more people can experience that beautiful experience. México has also beautiful Maya temples but hands down the Guatemala temples are beyond anything else in the Maya world.

      We have seen many Mayan temples throughout Central America and Mexico and we agree that Tikal is hands down the most impressive!! especially with the sunrise experience, it was one of our favorite things we have done in the entire region.

      @@VeganVoyagers yes it looks so breathtaking! I’m not gonna lie, I would be scared to walk in the dark like that. That being said, I would still love to do it one day. Adding it to my bucket list. 😉😬😱🙀😬

      It’s not too bad. You have plenty of people with torches so you can see pretty well. We highly recommend it!

    I'm going to Guatemala in August. I'm also staying at The Jungle Lodge. What company did you use for the sunrise tour? Thanks and keep up the incredible adventures.

    Hi, loved your video: informative and with a sense of humour! 👍 I’m doing pretty much the same 2 night trip in December and wonder if you can give me the benefit of your experience. Flights: I’m a princess too 😂 and I’ve booked TAG airlines tickets. Their baggage allowance seems stingy but can you just pay at the airport if your bag is too heavy? I’m guessing they accept regular sized suitcases judging by the size of yours. Hotel: did how did you arrange the bus from airport to Jungle Lodge hotel and back to the airport? Is it a scheduled service or did you have to book it?
    I can’t wait to go to Tikal. Bucket list trip for me. I’m doing 2.5 weeks in Mexico and Guatemala.
    Thanks.

      The Tikal Jungle Lodge hotel offers you the transfer service from the airport to the hotel and vice versa. You can contact them on Instagram, or TAG also has complete packages from Guatemala City that include everything. You only have to pay the tickets at the bank that is at the airport in Flores, for which I advise you to pay in advance for the day, sunset and sunrise tickets.

      @@derekbryce2632 Looks like David got the answers for you before we could! Yeah we booked through the hotel for everything with the sunrise tour as well as our pickup and drop off with the airport. Our suitcases generally run in the 45-50 pound (21-23kg) range and we've not had too many issues there. Some of the smaller planes will have an 18-20kg limit on them but we've yet to hit that.

    Hello...is it cool/cold weather?? In December?

    • @VeganVoyagers
      @VeganVoyagers  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It depends on your definition of cold. When we were there in November, it was around a high of low 30s (upper 80s/low 90s) during the day and a low of low 20s (upper 60s/low 70s).
