If you are still in Turkey, do try Kokrec which is basically intestines grilled horizontally and usually eaten as sandwiches with different variations... It's considered street food and loved by most Turks.

You can find much better Humus in Turkey, also every region makes it a little different. But the origin in Turkey is probably the east, close to Antakya. Sadly, due to Salt Bae, now some places make a show when they pour coffee. Burak is the same, food is ok, it is more about presentation. There are better hidden gems in Istanbul. Usually if a place is full it is a good sign, but you need to find out why? Is it because of the food or is it because it is cool / hip to be eating there.

the first one is all over the Balkans.We Bulgarians call it sarmi.Romanians -sarmale.Greeks also have it.The difference with the ones you get here in Germany (from conseves mostly-Turkish or Greek) is that the home made or freshly made in our countries are very soft and not saur like the conserved ones.They are very gentle and delicious.I personally like more the sourkraut leaves ones,more than the grape leaves ones ;)
Never tried it with sourkraut but it is very popular in Germany
@@WildlensbyAbrar when its home made with good sauerkraut (best homemade,nonpasteurized),its amazingly soft,tender and delicious-more so than the one with the grape leaves ;) It was one of my favourite dishes in my childhood back in communist Bulgaria.It was more of a festive dish cause its a bit more complicated to make.But my grandma was making them amazing! The ones you buy again here in Germany conserved(the sauerkraut ones) are very far from the real deal ;) They are again very sour ( I think from some preservative they put inside),hard and not delicious at all ;)
