- The most horsepower in Formula Drift, and probably the biggest motor - Dean Kearney has some stones to push this absolute beast of a Dodge Viper at Formula Drift events all year. And he shows us exactly how much torque this thing puts out by throwing it into fifth, and sending those massive tires into oblivion.

when you have pro drivers come to the yard, you should set up a mini course w/ clipping points and then judge the drivers in shart kart and have a leader board of best scores kind of like the Top Gear lap time segment

that is what an 8.3 liter twin turbo can do. i'd bet it will do stock power output 645hp at around 2500 RPM or earlier, depending on how early the turbo kicks in. the Viper will forever be my fave car ❤

MrKrozius it was a small yard to throw this viper around too but he still did it 🤙🏼 if you've seen the gymkhanas you'll know Ken can handle tf out of his cars, so I wouldn't be surprised if he does bring out the hoonicorn xD
i could see him shredding the focus or the cossie maybe, but im not too sure on the hoonicorn. 1350hp RWD was already a handful, so add 50hp and AWD? itd probably actually be too fast for the burnyard

There's just something in the calm yet rowdy V10 note.
It's the sound of practically unlimited - with 8.3l of displacement, it's just so hard to put an ACTUAL load on these things.
Now, when you do manage to put them under load(say, bolting the biggest stickiest drag slicks that you can possibly stuff under them), they get REAL fucking rowdy!
BTW, I believe Sal Patel still has the record for the fastest Viper, a 2nd gen GTS, full weight/full interior, stock-style IRS suspension legitimate street car, runs high-6s in the 1/4 - first IRS in the 6s, used to be the quickest IRS car(like 2012 I think, has been beaten since, Sal moved onto standing mile stuff)

@@johnhunter4465 I mean technically Cleetus shouldnt have been running 7's anywhere with the 8.5 cert cage after he ran the first 7 second pass. And Las Vegas is an NHRA sponsored track so they have to be strict. He probably only got away with it at Charlotte last year bc it was his own event

This is my third fav daily trans episode! Ol' smokey, micah diaz king of man line epesode and now this one. The only car that's been able to get on ol' smokeys level for wheel speed and smokey!! That wasnt only built do burnout competitions.

If you put the race transmission on it it'll have six gears. Then you can also tune the gear ratios.
