I had GT my pregnancy period,my baby was normal weight 3.100only
.I followed a balanced diet after 7 months
But it was okay for me
.In diet, I included large amount of fruits for hungry,
Morning :1 egg must every day
If you are a vegetarian u can use some amount of grains and one iddly or maximum 2 iddly
I completely avoid tea throughout my pregnancy
Mid morning: eating fruits with some dry fruits
If I feel more hungry I will make shake without milk and sugar
Instead of sugar I use Robusta,1 banana,1 apple must for all my shake
Lunch:Lots of vegetables with one egg or grain or chicken or fish or paneer
1 small cup of rice,any proteins in 3 meals
Evening:green tea with some Robusta banana or apple or dry fruits
Night : I had grains dosha (soak all available pulses in your home and grind it )have it with nice chutney or sambar
Very nice taste,it was my reduce my hungry ❤️nice taste also

Deepika, why don’t you try quinoa instead of rice? There are way too many recipes on TH-cam for quinoa. It is delicious and very healthy. So much better than rice. You can add so many different vegetables in cooked quinoa.

Flatten rice is not harmful like other rice. U can enjoy poha without guilt😳😊

Even rice she can eat. Wheat is more harmful for diabetic people. As rice is easy to digest & diabetic people feel hunger more & as they have something to eat it spikes. So wheat is usually taken as it digest slower when compared with rice. I am wondering why shd didn't had rajma.. all seeds, legumes & whole grain stuff are allowed.

It is not Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes..It is gestational diabetes. Diet is more strict than the general diabetes. Daals, chickpeas, beans are source of complex carbs which is not allowed in GT. So what is allowed in Normal Diabetes is not allowed in GT, kindly do not mix both. You can check on google too...
