Ain't foolin' nobody but the ducks with that DSP. Look at that perfect rolloff at 16kHz wide lol. They are both are several channels wide. Not one of these box builders even look at output power vs IMD because they know it will take twice the pills to do the same job cleanly.. If a box builder were serious, those 2879's would be running at 60w each, not 110w. I get if you want audio fidelity, you need to break some bandwidth rules, not complaining there, but taking it beyond what most receivers will pass, like 3 channels down, is pointless. Prime, always enjoy hearing you on the radio, but if the Big Boss really wants to get down, get those out of channel emissions down. Anyone can make watts, its dealing with the extra stuff that takes skill. 70lb hammer, 70dBm = 10kw, ok, so you are 20dB over what a 100w radio can do, and if the spurious emissions spec for a 100w radio is typically -60dBc, why not aim for -80dBc on that 10kw amp? If you want to put your money where your mouth is, that's the number to aim for. That's why the ducks complain about ham gear, because they can't afford something that took extensive knowledge in RF layout to build properly. At that power, RF is being coupled all over and the average box builder hardly manages to keep the fans from getting cooked LMFAO.
