    This video, and all of the reaction videos on this channel, transform the original material from entertainment into a commentary, educational and/or opinion expressing video. The original content that is “reacted” to is analyzed by professional commentators and podcasters, who use the performance to highlight instrumental technique and further discuss song structure etc. In addition, musical theory and style choices are also often analyzed and discussed.
    While the video does use the entire song (as things such as instrumental performance and song structure must also be considered), there are many pauses. In addition, often the parts of the original content are played multiple times to examine a particular element of the song being reacted to. During pauses, reactors go into detail on the emotions that are invoked by the song or content, and why or why not they are good, or if they’re particularly difficult. The pauses often last a long time, so much so that this video cannot be considered a replacement for the original material. A link to the original video is always placed in the about section, and viewers are encouraged to watch it without pauses and commentary.

    To put it bluntly, it is not DragonForce, Iron Maiden, Slayer, Megadeath, Helloween, Metalica, Motorhead, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Tchaykovski, List, Dvorak, Bethoven or Mozart etc. only LOVEBITES. ❤ 🎤🥁⭐🎸🎸🎸 🐺😎
    They are listened not only by metalheads. Ladies came out of their metal genre and have wider spectrum of fans.
    They play Eclectic Metal. It means they blend as the first band in history all kind of metal mainly power and thrash with NWOBHM,
    heavy metal, symphonic metal, speed metal,hair metal, hard rock, rock, rock'n'roll, jazz, progressive pieces, funk and even punk. They mix all with classical music using operatic, R&B, soul and gospel skills of vocalist and grand piano and Spanish guitar skills playing. Sometimes they use typical Japanese melodic lines which are included in ENKAs_ melancholy ballads singing by Japanese women. Only their can do it. Obviously they draw a lot from British, German and American metal. All this makes their style unique.
    If it comes to DEXCORE the best competitor would be another Japanese band, goddesses of metalcore HANABIE. LOVEBITES plays in another league their own one.

    You have barely scratched the surface in terms of what Lovebites can do when it comes to superior composition and musical diversity. Go and listen to the LIVE performances of "A Frozen Serenade", "Edge of the World" and "Swan Song with Chopin intro" (tell me honestly how many bands have Chopin in their LIVE performances ?). After watching these, then you can form a bona fide opinion of this band.

  • @ChadTheDragonLord

    See this is why you should have taken my recommendation and chosen A Frozen Serenade as the last song to react to. It had all kinds of different stuff in it that you haven't seen or heard yet from Lovebites. You probably chose this song because it is the music video with the most views on their channel. All the true Lovebites fans will tell you that Glory to the World is a middle of the road song by Lovebites. A Frozen serenade had a LOT of composition, even though it is more mellow by Lovebites standards. It has piano, acoustic guitar, ballet, progressive changes, etc. You would have enjoyed it much more. Fans consider A Frozen Serenade an epic masterpiece.

    LOVEBITES deservedly won. To better understand 'Glory to the World' and why the filming of MV took place in the Christian chapel ('Casa d'Angela' in the Japanese city of Yokohama), ou need to know what this song is dedicated to. And when the song was written (at the height of the Covid-19 pandemic).
    Your guest and you (judging by your previous rounds) do not like those metal genres to which the work of LOVEBITES is related. This is not criticism of you or a desire to offend you in any way. This is my opinion after observing your previous reactions. Each person evaluates music based on their musical preferences. LOVEBITES are not your 'cup of tea'. This is a normal situation. That's why the music of LOVEBITES seems boring and monotonous to you. I respect your opinion. And I understand you.
    In the same way, I, for example, cannot listen to most of the bands that your guest promotes on his channel. Even though you call them 'real metal'. I've watched the video on SLAM WORLDWIDE several times. In my opinion, most of these bands aim to reproduce a set of heavy sounds that do not fit together. And I can’t listen to this for a long time. There is too much chaos and lack of harmony. But this is my subjective opinion. Sorry for being so frank.🤗
    Despite everything, LOVEBITES won the competition that you organized on your channel. 🤘Thank you for expressing your honest opinion.😊

      You are of course 100% correct that subjective perference is how people evaluate music. But there is also value in stepping back and evaluating the quality of the musicianship on display irrespective of the particular sub-genre. For me, LOVEBITES constantly display an elite level of musicianship that very few bands could match. I think they are in the top 3 metal bands (in terms of musicianship), alongside Dream Theater and Symphony-X.

    I rarely listen to Polyphia.What they are doing, in my opinion, is more like guitar exercises, or dangerously close to it. But Animals as Leaders is another matter, i have they are in constant rotation. But at the same time, they are still not even close to the Lovebites, who have become a significant part of my musical life along with Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree, and such old bands as King Crimson and Gong, Mahavishnu Orchestra and Return to Forever.
    As for the songs presented. It occurred to me that the monotony of Glory To The World, which seems to two reactors, is a typical case of clip thinking, when the human brain is focused on perceiving small fragments of information in time and is not able to cover something longer entirely. In the process of perception, he is forced to break the whole into fragments. At the same time, the next fragment appears to him exactly the same as the previous one. This causes a loss of interest, everything seems boring and ceases to be perceived. In a more pronounced form, this is characteristic of animal thinking. Their perception reaction is very short-lived (only here and now).
    The reactors failed to perceive Glory To The World as a whole, for them it is a series of identical fragments. For me, this song represents a single whole: the beginning, the dynamic development - the build-up, the culmination. A magnificent example of composing, arranging and performing.
    Dexcore song seems to me typical of the Japanese music scene. For my taste, it would be better without these pop-rock inserts with clean vocals.

  • @1970Phoenix
    @1970Phoenix 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

    I do like "Glory to the World", but for me its about their 37th best song. I'm not sure why you chose this song when they have so many better ones. Perhaps you need to try one of their thrash songs. "Break the Wall" is (in my opinion) one of the best thrash songs ever written th-cam.com/video/5Pc0XK0lNmU/w-d-xo.html. It's as good (and probably better) than anything from Slayer, Anthrax or Testament.
    Or how about concert level classical piano (Chopin)? Can you name another metal band on the planet that could play the song in the following link >>> th-cam.com/video/dcMVtrvpJpk/w-d-xo.html

      @@musicaconqueror5477 I would definitely remove Nightwish from this list. They don't have a single musician even remotely close in level. And Epica, too, even though the musicians there are much better than in Nightwish.
      And if think about it a little more, none of the listed bands could have played this song. There is only one guitarist in Deep Purple, and he is weaker than any of Lovebites. In Dream Theater, the musicians are better than Lovebites musicians, but there is only one guitarist, and the vocalist does not have enough breath to sing it. X Japan (I've never listened to it) seems to have a classical pianist, but clearly there aren't two guitars of this level.

    • @1970Phoenix
      @1970Phoenix 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@dymyavalor6135 Dream Theater could play it if they are allowed to record guitar onto a track to accompany them live. This would be fair enough because Miyako's piano is on a track while she is on the guitar. (I'm going to ignore vocalists here and focus only on the music). If we are allowing recording onto a track, then I'd also add Symphony-X to the list of metal bands that could probably manage this song.

I also like Dexcore quite a bit for that matter. But I agree that both Lovebites and Dexcore have better songs than the ones showcased here. I have to give credit to DEXCORE, other than FaLiLV, this sounded like music. That Nemophila song was really good, in my book, it had deserved to be number two, but this is a competition, and the community has decided. A minus for DEXCORE was for me this repetitive riff through most of the song, that would never happen with LOVEBITES. Even their solos (yes, I wait for these solos, and it's okay!) are quite varied and interesting, Not always the same stuff. (in one song, they have 14+ different solos.) it's not fair to say "there's no composition". The composition skills of these ladies (and helper Mao) are excellent. If this wasn't DEXCORE's best song, it wasn't LOVEBITES' best song either, it was written during the Covid-19 pandemic and had the purpose to give something uplifting to the fans. I like it, but there are better songs... You may have noticed, that LOVEBITES drew most views, well that may have had reasons like the platform, but it was a remarkable factor (up to a tenfold).
