I think it's truly beautiful how they both submitted to each other....bent just a little for each other...while holding on to their own beliefs. So much to learn from this story. And the fact that it was a true story gives me chills.
Their friendship also last afterwards and Anna Leonowens plan to return to Siam but Mongkut fell ill suddenly and died. Hopefully they have met next life and had better chance to be todether.

It was shot here... they dismantle the entire set (palace) after the filming ending. I went to see it with some friends before they bulldozed down the little remaining (badly dilapidated). Was in architecture school back then.... nice video... it's my favorite movie as well👍🙂

@@maarukka58 In real history. Anna used to meet a king just 4-5 times. The story was made up. The girls like kind of this fairy tales.
They had such a beautiful love for each other. Captured by how they looked at each other with such passion. Should of ended the dance with a kiss.
