    I have much to say about the horror our First People went through, but I will boil it down to, I hope hell is waiting for every single person who was involved in what they did to our First People

    Schools should teach that to the students so they can see what theirs ancestors did to the real American people in this country….

      ! ... They don't teach it in America's schools and the reasons are obvious. ... !

      Hey, the Trail of Tears was taught back in our middle school.

    • @Jaws_52k
      @Jaws_52k ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vigo894yes it was taught but it was only half truths or lies. American history was a joke in high school when it came to slavery and the Indians. It should be taught and taught correctly. It’s a dark gruesome history and should be taught as such. It’s all been white washed and made into a PG version.

      It was taught when I was growing up. We learned about the Trail of Tears in the 3rd or 4th grade, I think.

      @@withlessAsbestos I’m 73. My mother was a gilly. They had 4 kids. Two boys and 2 girls. The woman and the two daughters were forced to leave but the husband got to keep the 2 boys with him. I knew my great grandfather well. He looks so much like the Cherokee chieftains. He didn’t want to talk about things but one of his granddaughters did a search and was able to trace everything.

      @@janblackman6204 That’s both fascinating and disheartening to realize that these events aren’t that distant.

    Right now illegals have more right than our Native American indians. Trump did signed 3 bills to benefit Native people. One gives compenation to the Spokane Tribe for loss of their lands in the mid 1900s, one funds Native language programs, and the third gives federal recognition to the Little Shell Tribe of Chippewa Indians in Montana. Also another tribe in Wisconsin was given recognition.

      Illegals have more rights than white and black Americans too.

    • @jammin1984

      The Illegal folks you are trying to accuse are incorrect. The Illegal folks are the folks from where your ancestors come from. Most likely Europe?! Yes they have and will always have more rights than Indigenous Native People up and down the entire continent of the now called Americas! God The Almighty Creator gifted to them.

    We stole everything. It was just evil. The nation founded on property rights. Hypocrisy is an understatement.

    As a Brazilian, I think that North Americans addressed land disputes by displacing and, tragically, killing Indigenous people. In Brazil, while there were conflicts, many Indigenous communities have continued to live in the jungle.

    Unbelievable, but believable.. some people will do anything due to greed for money. I’m almost 60 and recently learned about this horrible act about 3 years ago. Maybe I just didn’t pay attention during history class. So heart breaking. And totally disgusting.
