bro you're SO underrated. your guides are so simplified and precise at the same time. back when necro first released I fell behind cause of irl duties but when i was able, I watched your guides and played them real time with my kills going and it was CAKE. You're awesome! One day i'll be comfortable at low hp like you are, that's impressive how you can be so close to dying in nearly every guide but you just keep floating on through cause of your precision and understanding. Props man!
He is VERY underrated! His understanding of the game, its mechanics and gameplay overall make it so everything is well explained and easy to understand. Thank you!
Hey man, i joined your stream the other day to thank you on the normal zuk guides. I totally forgot to stream my attempts at hardmode after watching your video for the competition. Took me 2 attempts for the flawless kill (first one was deathless but failed challenge 2). just want to say thanks so much for these videos. Never thought i'd ever get a hm zuk kill, or ambassador solo, your channel has been so useful for me to get into harder bosses. HM zuk took me around 40 minutes each kill lol :) Appreciate it
hey man, love your guides, more relatable than any other pvm bossing guides for people who aren't 100% top end gear necromancy wise. leagues better explaining than anyone else. I met one of your old clan members in game the other day. I didn't realize it until he started getting hella snarky when I brought up how good your guides are. He was talking a bunch of shit about you, but me and another guy defended you, he was a petty douche, on cam or off cam behavior doesn't matter one bit to me, your guides are top notch so that guy can GTFO. I can't remember his name, it sounded like he was a guild master. Anyways keep up the good work man and thanks again.
100% Zammy is a pretty big step up from all of the other bosses so far, especially since you can't use skulls in p7, but if you'd like to try, it's a great moneymaker once you figure it out :)
If you're looking for something along the same difficulty, it could be worth trying out Raksha, 100% Telos, or HM Kerapac. Those are all pretty good options for learning, getting better, and making money.
So BIS is Aftershock 4 Equilibrium 2 on MH, Precise 6 Ruthless 1 on OH, Biting 4 Mobile + Crackling 4 Relentless 5 on Chest, Invigorating 4 Undead Slayer (or any other type of slayer) + Impatient 4 devoted 4 on legs. I don't currently have devoted 4 in my setup, but everything else is the same.
Does it hurt anything that the obsidian helm isnt necro since it doest exist yet? Does it matter at all which one i wear? It feels so odd in my head to do that but i trust the result i saw here. Also: 39:49 i just died to zuk 3 times in a row because of defensives despite having the hp. No idea why or how, it didnt happen to me the first time i killed him but now it is. First time, didnt have adrene for barricade so i ate and used a powerburst, i got hit twice in a row, Rod immediately turned the screen grey and i was like wtf. So incredibly confused so i think ok, maybe it was some weird fluke, do it again, everythjngs good, res the first, barricade the 2nd, on the third one though i used res a second or 2 after the red letters popped up but zuk wasnt doing his blast, wasnt sure why it was taking so long and resonance timed out and i got double blasted again it seemed like cause at basically full hp ring of death immediately flashes the screen. So tilted right now cause idk wtf is wrong
It doesn't matter which obsidian helmet you use. Some people even use obsidian boots instead, but I don't believe it matters here. If you have invoke death/t90 power armor, what is likely happening is your deathmark is applying on the spire and when it detonates, the spire is 0 HP, so it'll double blast you. If that happens, you need to double defensive or use barricade. Finally, Zuk has a bar above his head (where his physical body is, not at the top of the screen where his HP is), I usually cast resonance/disruption shield/reflect when that bar is about half full. Let me know if this helps!
@@raphtheboygenius I got my flawless hm kill today and I'm so excited about it! Its not that this particular kill was really hard it's just knowing I was about to win passing through the spire was making me shake and tremble so bad. I thought I was using tank armor so I'm not sure what the issue was but I discovered it later, for some reason I can't explain I was wearing my power chest with the tank legs and boots so I was missing a lot of hp and reduction. I didn't watch or see the bar cause I was rotating the screen and whatnot I just relied on the red lettering to tell me. Thanks for the reply again, super awesome
@@raphtheboygenius idk if it matters or if you care but here's an update: since posting last I've become the master of HM Zuk, gaining 11 hardmode kills, 6 of which were flawless, my last kill just a bit ago I only used 4 sips of brew and no food only Excalibur, fastest time 33 min 18 sec. He's no longer a dreadful pos and I have fun doing it now. Since we can choose our reaper tasks for now I've only been choosing zuk and do hm getting 54 points a go. Obsidian helm is huge since I quested for it and donating is even more massive. I forgot to donate once and while I could still do it just fine, I could definitely tell. Thank you so much for the vid. Made this all possible. Now I love hm zukkin and I'm gonna be camping it for the foreseeable future. Quick edit, for spire I use res, barricade, res, full hp powerburst with that defensive curse I forget the name just for safety, and it's been effortless every time. I noticed also and I'm pretty sure that if you reflect or debilitate the spire the damage on the bomb is lowered also. With all that combined it usually hits about 5.9k
Awesome one man so glad you put this out. Been wanting to learn HM zuk for the longest time but never had even a decent mage setup (all my shits dumped into range basically). This just makes it feel much more accessible. I don't have the t90 tank gear tho but i got the t95 set, any tips on surviving the bombs at the end without the extra hp on missing abilities? Could probally vitality pot one of them but what other options are there? I also dont have disruption shield because i heard livid farm is horrific to do and i always miss merchants XD
if you resonance first, you can reflect the second hit, then powerburst the third hit which will let you resonance again for the 4th hit. that's what I would do without disruption shield or health buffer from tank armor. Let me know if this helps!
This is great, I'll give this a shot soon! Thank you Raph. It might be worth mentioning that even for combat noobs like me if it's unlocked invoke death it's a 30k/20% reduction in the amount of damage you need to do for whatever mob, so if I have it unlocked should I basically use it for all the jads/har aken/zuk/anything I'm worried about? Rune cost seems negligible in the grander scheme.
I'm actually not sure if invoke death works on zuk lol, that's something I'll have to test for you. As for the other "bosses," using invoke death is definitely a good way to speed up your kills. Other optimizations you can make are finding more places to use threads (especially since its cooldown is getting reduced and duration is lengthened) and finding more places to use death skulls. I tried to be pretty reserved with those abilities so they can always be up as needed, but when I do speed kills I'll definitely look to optimize the routing. If I get a sub 20 I might post it just to say I did it lol.
At least on normal mode it does work on Zuk at 30K he's just done. No clue how that works with the Conduits, that'd be pretty helpful to know. I definitely appreciate your approach of kind of minimal-gearing most of the bosses, and some people might not have it unlocked
I try to approach everything from the perspective of, "What is the minimum amount of gear required here?" and then base my guide on that. In the Amby video, I even went as far as saying "Hey, if you don't have cinderbanes, just get someone to dart this because the fight is going to be way longer and way less fun." For instance, you could do Zuk without cinders, but it adds so much damage that you're doing yourself a pretty big disservice. Similar to Amby, if you don't have cinders, just wait to do Zuk until you do. It won't make or break a kill, but adding 5 minutes to a Zuk run could be the difference between getting a kill and running out of supplies.
why not just reso zuk's 4th spec? basic vs threshold and you take 0dmg instead of just reducing it. even easier since bone shield. also using a stamina potion makes you never have to wory about run energy at the pillar
As long as you are using a defensive, it doesn't really matter which one you're using. I also literally tanked one of the hits without using any defensives to show that it's okay to miss one.
I have a question. I'm able to save 10% after an ultimate via passive ring of vigour effect. Wondering how you're able to save 20%? Very possible I missed it somewhere. Thanks for this as your normal mode video is now a key reason why I'm now on hard mode ;)
I use the conservation of energy relic. If you don't have that Supreme Invigorate is also good, though it does mean you won't have vampyrism so be wary when using it.
Mostly wanted to keep things super accessible and simple so that no matter what your other levels are, you are able to just do what I do in the guide. It's similar to why I mentioned disruption shield but didn't actually use it for the video.
With the damage reduction from the helmet, Hellhound actually provides a pretty substantial amount of defense, especially on the hard waves where you need to tank a bunch of guys to use threads of fate. It also provides meaningful damage reduction during the spire phase (i.e. if you don't have hellhound during spire, messing up a res/reflect will kill you without tank armor).
@@raphtheboygenius why use the obi helm and not just the t90 tank necro helm with the rest of the set? also looking at your other comments the invoke death does indeed work on zuk on normal mode but only in his final phase when attacking you, also works on aken
@@devalsm the obsidian armour gives great damage reduction against damage on the waves, so its better to use it, you can use boots and gloves but he probably didnt have those
