What if you are on SSD and you have no way to ask for a raise. The only way I have been able to make it is living on my credit cards. I need help.😢

I found this video really helpful! Also very clear and well-organized, and not intimidating/overwhelming. Thank you for making this video. I would like to see more like you mentioned about negotiating with your creditors. I recently requested this, in the context of disaster assistance relief, and currently awaiting the response.

A lot of people might have to be careful about getting raises or second jobs because it can get you kicked off Medicaid or ineligible for safety net programs, which can lead you to be worse off if you have a major surgery and a bill because private insurance is going to leave you with a bill. It’s a fine line and stressful. I noticed a lot of places won’t negotiate with you if your debt to income ratio is too high. Like hey you get to pay higher interest because you can’t afford it and if you have good credit otherwise you often have to trash it to do some of those programs. (Unless something has changed)

What if it's a national bank you owe and they say no to lowering the interest rates and no to lowering payments?
