The flamethrower breath was due to his breath being weakened and emped during 2014, in 2019 it was stronger but still somewhat of a flamethrower. In gxk and gvk, his beam was purely concentrated, and because his beam hits at the sub atomic level, he would have just disintegrated shin's body wherever he hit him.
