I recently went to upper Michigan to look at a TD6. It was a good candidate until I checked oil, above full by 4 inches. Engine turned freely so I was afraid of internal problems as if water came down exhaust engine probably would have been tight. I’m telling myself I’m too old for major projects anymore.

They could be seen in the background quite a bit. Both late 60's. Right after they started painting em yellow. I had you beat on the bad under carriage, the gas one of mine had paper thin and cracked front idlers. Both had the Drott buckets. Sold the gas one to a guy for parts. Never heard it run but he told me later the engine was good. The diesel one ran but didn't like turning left. Anyways, cool machines and they both got good use 🔧🔩
the td is a td340a built 1963 and 64 the high seat, instruments and 5 track rollers were changes made to the a. i have a 1964 t340a with a holt loader.

Right on I am curious to see how it runs! I bet it cost a fair amount of fuel to bring it home but it sure was nice that they loaded it up for you that would have been a hard pull. What is the weight of the old girl? 😀🇨🇦

Awesome my uncle had one when I was a little kid on the farm. He would let us play on it when he wasn't using it

Food for thought, that extra ear on the loader, is that for pinning a bar into to hold the loader up when servicing the engine?
I thought that to be a possibility also, probably better than my idea and that’s what I was going to use it for.
Just thought I’d mention, I just saw a T340 on marketplace with a hydraulic cylinder in place on those mounting ears.

With loader and counterweight, probably 10 or 11 thousand.
