Massive respect for consistently going on strong and rising above all the obstacles you've been faced along your journey. You can see the man still enjoys his craft and to think the 1000s of sets he's done up and down the country and worldwide you have to place respect on the man's name. Shabba D is a certified legend. Written into history books.
Bruv I remember Shabba D from the Skiba, Shabba and Brokkie days! That far back.. Jungle Hits.... Helicopter... Lighter.... General Levy and M Beat Put a massive smile on my face seeing this well-made Doc and nuff respect to Shabba D for the humility & integrity on top of the sublime talent RIP Skibadee Local to international LEGENDS
I'm 46 I grew up in midlands to a different type of MCing Then tape packs started floating about early to mid 90s Those London flow's double time rhymes Were like nothing I'd heard before. I'm a jungleist 🙏 blessings to all
@@Ricky_Super double timing was Kool Moe Dee in the late 70s with the birth Hip Hop in Harlem. In Dancehall I think it was Yellowman in the 70/80s and then with Hardcore/Jungle it was the Sound System MCs like Top Cat and Tenor Fly, Demolition Man (Ras Demo), The Ragga Twins and Stevie Hyper D. Remember Sound System culture is what influenced Jungle MCing even Garage MCing and Grime.
1st seen shabba at telepathy b4 he blew up...90's was the BEST times for everything!! We were soo lucky & never knew it!! Tape pack days classical, the ammount of rewinds i did on certain mixes or mc'ing back in da days 😂😂 😎👊🏾💙
I miss the days of the tape packs. Used to go to Biting Back records in Gravesend to grab em and my mate used to buy his vinyl there. Fukcing good times! Shabba is a certified legend!
Yes yes Shabba Don! Love the football bars, used to have a wicked Gooner on back in the day! Number 1 is Seaman, number 2 is Dixon, number 3 is Winterburn. If you know you know 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Bringing back the memories of my best years I only got into djaying cos of all the pirate stations, the MC's and propper vinyl mixers... I knew Shockin from my area for or ages before I found out he was an MC lol
Stupid phone didn't let me finish.. Kool widda K smashed it and yeah I still can't get over Skibba D going. He will always be missed and remembered he was a real legend left a hole nobody else will fill R.I.P bet heaven is propper lively!!! Big up all the Kool massive and all the oldskool djays
Must be hard to adapt to dumbed down music and i love man like Shabba. I get people gotta earn a living and move with the times but keep it real innit. Stevie Hyper D would never be on jump up.
💯 brother… the demographic has changed 10 fold, gone from a multi culture inside a dancehall culture to a manbag posturing chav can’t even call it culture… feel very fortunate to have experienced the Rex, Brixton academy, Astoria era
