A major reason for the success of this young Packer team is the way A.J. Dillon stepped up when Aaron Jones was injured. He has had many critical & powerful runs this season. If the run game had regressed the passing game would, most likely, have suffered. As young as A.J. Dillon is he's a veteran on this roster and I believe provides much needed leadership.

Coldest I’ve ever been at Lambeau was the NFC playoff game with Favre and the Giants. Favre’s last game as a Pack. It was so unbelievably cold that day. I kept thinking how stupid I was if I lost a few fingers or an eye to frostbite, just to watch a football game. I didn’t, so only great memories of that day.

@@fvgc454ss Brutal is the correct description. Ha. My first thought was that of the Giants coming on the field full of energy and the Pack did not. We had great seats and a guy behind us would narrate the probable plays from the formations, so that was a great addition to the game. It was too cold to turn around and see who was calling it, but if he knew, that didn’t say much for coach Sherman.
That game was another in a long line of bad games because the networks insist on night games in Green Bay in December and January.

IMO the difference is they have opened up the playbook and throwing the ball downfield instead of the east-west outlet crap passes. Love and WR are playing with confidence and the D is getting breaks instead of 3 and out possession's by the O. I think I predicted the Packers would win 35-21. The Chiefs have looked to me a bit uninspired this season and the Packers are improving. But I argued that the Packers should’ve traded Rodgers a couple years ago, not because he’s lousy, but rather because his trade value would never be higher than at that point. The Packers could’ve gotten multiple ones for Aaron two years ago. Well, better late than never I suppose. (I will not be shocked if Rodgers never plays again. I think what’s been going on as a Jet is perhaps “window dressing” only. Go through Achilles rehab, pretend you’ll be back, keep getting game checks. Then decide to retire when he can’t milk it anymore. I wouldn’t be shocked.)

Or a tight end who was held more than a previous cheif wr that was called a series before. Does that pi missed on the mvs play ever happen without the Owen's penalty, (that was a legal hit) just take the loss. Maybe give Packers a little credit for they ball control keeping a very explosive cheifs offense off the field. Two possessions in the first half is insane.
