Ben, I've never watched you because you're the best, I watched you because you were the most entertaining. I remember the storylines. At the end of the day, FM is a game, so it's gotta be fun
I love Jack's idea of challenges. Bottom at Xmas means you can easily drop in and out and see how people are performing against one another. Creates huge tension & ramps up the difficulty. Not being able to watch everything meant it was impenetrable for me.
Jack is one of the best out there - calls out bullshit in the nicest possible way!! Really strong episode this one …. Let’s hope we are all pleasantly surprised by FM25. Finally having not witnessed or been too bothered about the e-sports event I feel I’ve now been there ten times over. Can we talk about the make up again?! Ah sorry I’m turning into Larry David. Keep it up Tony …. 👏🏼
My biggest hope about FM 25 comes from that Miles message saying: "If we had to do it over, would we do it the same way again?" and I hope they actually used that thinking in every part of the game. They don't have to make huge changes, but there are so many little things that are not properly done, like the repeating questions from press conferences and media questions. The board requests, that doesn't show you what something will cost, and therefore you have no idea if it will hurt the clubs finances. The lack of actual dynamic youth ratings for nations. The fact that players don't consider european tournaments much more important to play in than league games, because that's how it works in England (but not 99% of the rest of the world). The huge amount of "spam" messages in the inbox that I never look at and can't turn off - stuff like analytics, pre match reports, team selection advice etc. There are so many ways to optimize the player experience besides the obvious match engine, and I hope they have finally worked on some of that.
Loved this weeks show, after last weeks “everyone’s a pillock.” Who doesn’t agree with the content creators ramble. Benji is right we need to be wowed by the game it needs to feel like a brand new management game
Great show, really enjoyed it. Agree with the panel - FM25 needs to Wow us with everything that has happened in the build up and the annoucements when FM24 was released.
I miss the cm93/94 days....mainly because I was at college and had no worries. The 07/08 version had good memories for a group of us gathering around a pc to play together. FM13 & 18 have good memories for long term saves.
As I final thought as I finish watching, I am now comforted with the thought that the world will not end if they fuck things up in November... I think!!!
I remain convinced that Football Manager 25 will be the best and highest selling game with the words "football", "manager", and "25" (okay thats a number not a word) in the title! Convinced!!! ✊
My first FM was 22. Ever since, I decided to stick to an even number game to get the most of it. Best call ever, buying FM25 was never an option for me TBH.
Good to get guests on that can actually hold conversations. Unfortunately the previous one I watched had RDF, Kev and Matt and it was a hard watch a lot of the time however this one was not the case!
@@timeandmoney84 there were a lot of awkward silences and gaps. Felt like people who were much happier with a script whereas podcasts work better with notes and suggested topics and then conversing your way through that.
Great show again guys! The games going to be great but people will always find fault. Let’s be honest we loved it when you could draw a yellow line on a pitch indicating which was a player would run…Most people love the game blindly so it depends who they are trying to appeal to now. Best games for me were CM2 (first game I was introduced to), CM4, FM16, FM19 - basically every game they’ve released 😂
If you play Cities: Skylines or Power Wash sim you know Unity isn't some amazing photorealistic thing. I worry SI has built up this new era and people just gunna say "Well it still doesn't look as good as FIFA". I'll still get FM25 and still play 1,000+ hours cos at its core it WILL be the game I love, but I worry the player numbers will start to drop.
@@Anderslaw sure, we can't predict how technology will be in the future, but too much of the player base play on laptops with not very powerful GPUs, would limit your potential sales if you made it too good
Regarding ladies football they would already have the Northern Ireland Football League license that only covers the Ladies Premiership, Ladies Prem League Cup and the U20
@@TheFMShowPod I would like to think so but not holding much hope for the Northern Ireland Database across men’s, women’s and youth football, because they can never get the league rules right for an example they have say Ashton United playing in a regional cup for Hashtag Utd. For the North West Cup I had to begging for well over 10 years to be added. Plus the head researcher very seldom add league history, promotion & relegation clubs to the correct league below tier 5 if I remember correctly.
I feel this version game might not be stable enough and would need to wait until FM 26 for the stable version to appear, specially without any Beta testing.
My biggest concern has always been, will we get shiny graphics at the expense of gameplay? None of us want a great looking game that plays like all the other mobile games. I will probably get fm25, but for once I will wait for reviews and watch how you guys get on with it first, rather than blindly buy it like usual.
I’m still playing with 2D. Partly because I lile it best, partly because my computer starts sounding like a jetplane taking of after a few minutters of 3D. So I worry most about even being able to play the next version.
I think everyone is set for a major disappointment. As they say it’s the hope that kills😂 we’ll still play but put your expectations down unity isn’t gonna revolutionise the game
100%. Also scouting should be gone and you just get to say yes/no to players unless you're at Brighton where you just get whoever your DoF wants. Press conferences should be completely manual too and in lower league saves you have to do side jobs to pay rent otherwise you go homeless and get sacked.
Loved doing this! Thank you for having me on❤
Come back to us Benji. Its been a constrasting atmosphere around here wihtout you.
Oh Doctor Benjy, how we miss your dulcet tones....
We've missed you.
Positive atmosphere
My Thames shirt is still amazing! Thank you!

So so good to see Ben. I'm a little old for Twich so lovley to see him well and discussing FM. Good work all.
Was great to have him on. When we booked him in we weren’t sure if he was coming back to FM
Why what’s the age limit for twitch?😂 didn’t know they had one

Interesting to hear Ben and Jacks takes, seem to be the most down to earth and honest I’ve heard from bigger FM streamers about the new game 👍🏻

Jacks fan looks like it goes into bens cam, it’s kinda trippy
I'm just here for the algorithm. Hello Tony!
I think Tony said it best. Content creators do it best when they find the fun in the game
they just do what everyone else does..nothing special in what they do
As I final thought as I finish watching, I am now comforted with the thought that the world will not end if they fuck things up in November... I think!!!
I will probably buy FM25, but this is the first time for a long time where I thinking of not buying it. I am still enjoying FM24

Si Maggio was a spectator for this podcast
I'm here nearly every week - we only get Ben and Jack at same time on very rare occassions; somtimes you gotta just listen - Si
Measuring things in bananas, we are all dull mens club members here. Just need feet sizes now.
I remember the outrage of getting rid of sliders for tactical use.
It feels like that all over again 🤣
Love it
Love the Porto shirt in the back. 💙🤍🐲

What games has Jack worked on?
He was a UI artist I believe. He worked at SI, and I wanna say he also worked on some of the Total War games?

Never thought I’d say this but I’m actually switching back to FIFA this year
FM25 will be the version that ruins the game. it will be more casual and scaled back for the masses. It will become like EA football games
@@laoch5658 how can you review a game that is not out for two months that you haven't spent a penny on?
Why will it be more casual? 😂 It has missing features because moving engine was a big undertaking and there's not enough time
key hightlights needs to be removed..youre the manager you cant just tune in during key events.
Also limit holidays to two weeks a year
