wow, what a journey! i can't believe it's been 10 years and we're finally here. i got to your channel right from the start of crystal and your reaction videos are completely part of the sailor moon experience for me; definitely would love to see them all back on youtube. anyways, of course i'm grateful we got this gorgeous adaptation of cosmos, but i have to agree that the pacing is wild. i wouldn't want 30+ filler episodes per season like in the 90s, but 13-15 episodes would've been great for this arc. i had to rewind so many many times watching cosmos just to try and digest this ton of information! i didn't think of watching it in english to see if it helps like you just said, but it makes sense, gonna have to give it a try

But we have to take into account, that the last two arcs in the SM saga (along with the earlier ones) where serialized in a manga magazine on a monthly basis and thus people reading each act/segment had plenty of time to re-read each one of them and assimilate every information before the next release. I remember I read it back to back for the first time, and it felt a lot like it felt watching this movie.
Yeah the pacing makes a lot more sense how it was originally released and meant to be consumed. Weekly episodes would have been a much more comfortable pace with that time to digest what happened.

After coming full-circle like this, growing up knowing the old '90s dub for ages, then falling in love with the series all over again in the new VIZ English dub of the 90s anime and also seeing the manga come to animated form in Crystal/Eternal/Cosmos, the only thing I can realistically ask for is an adaptation of "Codename: Sailor V."
I can't believe that after years of waiting for reaction to Stars Arc i can finally see it with my own eyes. I'm literally watching since Crystal season 1 came out + i went into GW2 because of your channel. It's like years of memories.
i really liked her voice exactly as it was! because galaxia shows her devastating power right off the bat in the way she ripped mamoru's star seed like he was nothing, she's already menacing even without the really deep voice

I never had a friend that I could share Sailor Moon with, and when Crystal came out, and then Eternal and now Cosmos, you've been that friend to me. I had watched the movie before your reaction (three or four times, actually), but this time it felt like "home". And I have to thank you for that, for being the friend I couldn't have, this whole ten years. Thank you. I will never, never forget that. I still have Part 2 to watch, and I kind of don't want to start, because it will be the last time. And it makes me so sad to think about it. But now I'm in the best moment. I have watched Part 1 with you, and there's still a bit more to come. Things are good now :).
This season NEEDED to be a 10 to 13 episode length to have time to breath and have correct pacing. I'm going Naoko will make a new Sailor Moon series based in Neo Crystal Tokyo with Sailor Chibi Moon, the Sailor Quartet, and Helios.

It certainly deserves it. Now having seen Sailor Moon Crystal in both formats, I would prefer episodes with a smaller animation budget to movies. I feel like Cosmos was over so quickly rather than lasting months like the first 3 seasons 🥺

Actually the title crystal would fit both this, and eternal considering how important the Sailor crystals were in the last two story arcs, also don't worry about ever growing out of sailor moon, I am a fan since I am 4 years old, and I still am and I am 30 years old now 😅😂 funnily I enough the older I get the more layers I discover in the story and the deeper it feels

They took a good story from the manga and inserted so much heart and character that millions of us came to love the anime. I’m happy we saw the faithful adaptation of the final story arc, but I still don’t think it can compete with the original.

That’s how I felt too. That it felt rushed. Still loved it though. I wished they made the Cosmo movie into a series instead.
It was rushed even in the manga too, so a tv show definitely would have been the better choice.
I feel like they could have made each movies longer. Part 1 and 2 being more than 2 hours would've been better.

Yeah the 90s anime really did a good job of giving random villains in the manga personality. I love that they did that.

My only complaint with this movie was the inner senshi group split screen transformation, they only get to do it once I wanted to see them properly.
