Haqeeqat e Muhammdiya is the light of Holy prophet PBUH and every pious creation is a reflection of that Noor.
The poem is addressed to Nabi Karim ,sallallla =o- alehe wasallam,so it is a Naat.It is shocking that so many people said it is "hamd" or it is not a naat.This is perhaps the greatest naat in Urdu language.We have become so estranged from our language Urdu that it appears many dont seem to understand what is being said.It is so sad that we see our language dying in front of us.Someone has mentioned errors in the delivery.It is in fact beautifully delivered ,The singing is much better than of many others who have sung it,including Rahat Fateh Ali Khan.Iqbal is at his best here proclaiming his love of the Prophet p.b.h.This is the most famous naat in Urdu and there is no parallel really.
