+Vincent C +Vincent C Thanks buddy, always appreciate the positivity, yes we're blessed on that front, certainly entertaining to ride on the roads, we just need some dunes/desert which would make this place quad mecca, don't think they'll be coming anytime soon though haha.
Hey Synergy, been watching your videos for a while.. I currently own a 2022 Raptor 700R from new with a few modifications just need an air filter now to finish the big 3. Just bought some new beadlocks and knobbly tyres bit loud on the roads but makes the quad more sporty I am currently running road tyres at the moment. Looking to do a bit of green laning. I don't go out in the rain the wet roads are roughless haha... hopefully see some more quad videos soon mate! :)
Congratulations on the new Raptor 700, awesome machine, you must be loving it, I miss having the reliability of the Raptor on the tarmac. Have a look at the fuel customs intake, I think they make them for the 700 as well, it’s what everyone runs on the yfz450r’s. What headlocks did you go for, sounds like your setup well for the dirt. You should do some adventures in wales, some unreal places to explore, you’ll be hooked on woodland riding/green laning. Yeah it’s been too long, I’ll be out soon…
Yeah mate they do the FCI for the the raptor 700R. I am on 4000 miles now with the twin big gun exhausts sounds amazing :D Wheels - G3 & ROK'N-LOK set of 4 on/off roading. Tyres - SUNF A027 XC1 cost me £1,000 for the wheel setup, spent around £3k on the quad upto now. I am doing a fully service today and wheels/tyres should be delivered tomorrow so I can get out for a few hours while it's dry up my end. I am only 25-30 miles from North-Wales. I did 10,000 miles on my 2019 Raptor 700R without any engine problems. @ysynergy
You’ve done some serious mileage on both raptors, how come you sold the previous 2019, just to start fresh again? Good choice of wheels and tyres, now ready for the dirt. You literally live on the doorstep of off road heaven, lucky lucky, if you do head to wales check out the devils bridge area, I’ve a few videos from there, endless trails down there and good for camping/airb&b if you stay a few days down there, it takes us 5 hours to get to devils bridge area, but can never get tired of it, so much to explore. Those Raptors are rock solid, just eat the miles up and flawless reliability, dream setup would be to have a 450 and a raptor in the garage
To be fair Raptor 700R engines are solid engines as long as you keep on top of maintenance. Mine gets battered on the roads haha. Started fresh yeah with my 2022 now but I am keeping it as I love the color scheme. @@synergysynergy
How far can you go with those quads? I mean can you make easily a rod trip and if yes how far can you go with raptor..because I'm thinking buying the new one 2021 700r se but I'm a bit curious how far can you go with raptor :))
With a raptor 700 you could do a serious road trip, easily able to ride on tarmac all day without any issue, hundreds of miles without a problem. I wouldn’t say the same for my 450 which is far more temperamental on the road
synergy, i am 17 and i wanna get a quad, do you think its possible to get a raptor 700 insured i wouldnt mind paying a bit more, or do you have any other quads that you could suggest? From what ive seen tho raptor 700 seems like the best and also do you know any good places to get quads modified or any upgrades that would be good for more power etc , appreciate in advance!
Hey, so at 17 you’ll struggle to insure a raptor 700, even at 20 people have a difficult time, unless you’re willing to pay £2000+ You have the option of going for a Yamaha 250, 350 or 450, they will be easier to insure, if you ring around some company’s and see what they say. A Suzuki Ltr450 is also a good option and just as good as the yamaha. Upgrades wise you can order parts from America or a few shops in the Uk like marsh Mx or Yamaha Buxton. All you need is exhaust, ecu like a vortex or power commander and a fci intake or filter
Yes completely legal if you have a road legal registered quad, they are classified the same as cars, if you have a look on ebay you can see plenty of road legal and non road legal quads, obviously road legal ones have number plates, indicators etc
It’s pretty stable at 70mph, off road tyres make it a little skittish round corners on tarmac but all controllable, if you throw road tyres on in handles like a go kart, world of difference
The Raptor is a awesome machine, a YFZ450R would just be a bonus to your collection for track work and trails, check the Suzuki Ltr450, also a great quad
I think around 21-23 insurance starts to become reasonable for a 450 or raptor 700, around £300-£600, younger than that most likely it will be £1000-£1500 unfortunately insurance see those particular quads the same as insuring a 19 year old on a Audi Rs6
Hard to describe, with off road tyres it’s skittish but not in a bad way, I guess it’s like a giant armchair, for me I enjoy road riding especially on super moto type tyres, feels like a go kart
With the YFZ450R it tops out at 70mph, Raptor 700 is 75-80mph, if you switch up the gearing you can squeeze a few extra mph, I don’t suggest sitting at 70mph for long periods with the 450 as you’ll seize cranks as I’ve done numerous times, they are built for racing Mx track and off country
Yep it will be fine, the key is to just adjust speed all the time, rather than hold it at a constant, if your looking for a motorway cruiser the Raptor 700 has better gearing for motorways and the engine is much more robust to handle it
Im thinking of getting an aonn cobra 400 supermoto, which down the line will be pimped by a friend who races quads profesionaly, Thnx for the info, would you recomend any other tips. Kind regards
Bro if you want my honest personal opinion, stick with the top manufacturers, Suzuki, Yamaha, Honda etc etc. you’ll be able to find a Suzuki Ltr450 on ebay for a great price, Ltr450’s are exceptional value and only a fraction more than the aonn, but it’s a whole other world of Atv, being a race pedigree quad
That’s only the case if it is agricultural registered, as in for a farm, then you don’t need a mot or tax but technically your only allowed to ride within 3 miles of your farm and also you’re meant to have some kind of farm, you’ll see people selling quads which are agri registered but it’s more headache than it’s worth long term and people end up switching back over to a plg registration, like every other vehicle on the road, obviously then you will need to pay tax and mot. Have a read of this link and it will give you a brief run down www.fwi.co.uk/machinery/atvs/guide-to-keeping-your-farm-atv-legal-on-the-road
+justinas s I should of gone for a 36t rear to I increase my top end as I top out at 70mph, bottom end is very quick in standard gearing anyway so if you want a quicker top end drop the sizing

Personally I prefer the 450, I’ve had both and the 450R is a different world for handling and off road, the 700 is still a quality quad and has its own merits, much better on road and more reliable, requires less maintenance
+140ish not sure what road it is, yes quads are classed the same as cars and can travel on any road, motorways etc. for motorways the Raptor 700 is most suited, 450R's sound like they want to detonate when they are flat out
In sweden quads are classed the same as motorcycles but requiers a car drivers license. If they have smaller enginge than 50cc it is a moped an you need to have mopedlicense or higher and aren’t alowed to drive where mopeds aren’t alowed;)
+Zeshan Veall it's actually a good question, I think it's because it saves yourself from getting blisters from the grips and much more comfortable to hold onto the grips with gloves when you're being thrown around
Man that looks like my ideal of a Perfect day out And the weather looks proper decent for it too 👌🏻
I didn't realize those things can go that fast!
Around 80mph on a good a day with the right gearing, you’re holding on for life at that speed on tarmac
I have a raptor 2021 forgot the model😩 and it goes 85mph. Tried jt on the highway and almost got a hart atack when i floored it.
It was modified
Those raptors are rapid, lucky to get hold of a 2021 as a big shortage of them, huge demand for them
Wait what ! in england you can drive a Atv on the motorway ?! Sick video as usual !
