I've been getting moved upon by the Spirit for years now to continue my current channel, or start a new one, where I discuss these such things and more. I'm getting stopped. I need help and inspiration to fulfill this calling.
I'm always amazed at how your topics align with what's going on in my life at the time! For example, last Thursday I attended the temple to do some sealings with a friend. As we completed our sealings and were excused, I asked my friend if we could sit in the Celestial room for a while. I was struggling with some issues in my personal life and was seeking answers. After I had prayed for guidance, I opened my eyes and prepared to get up, but a voice came to me, telling me to "wait, I want to fill you with my light". So I sat for several minutes, just breathing, taking in the light. I experienced a feeling I'd never had before. With every breath I could feel light infusing my body. I could feel darkness and worry being swept away. And though it sounds strange to say, I know you will understand when I say I could feel my "natural man" being let go from my body, driven away with the light. I've been in temple sessions where people don't even linger in the Celestial room. I'm not here to judge anyone, and am grateful to all who serve there, but I hope that if you are able you will take time to linger in the Celestial room. I've been taught so many things there. I'm so glad I stayed a few minutes longer.

I could have written this comment myself Elizabeth! I had the prompting to stay a little bit longer so I did and as I was closing my eyes and just meditating on my Savior it’s as if the light in the room was becoming brighter and brighter while my eyes were closed. It was a very peaceful experience. I love to linger in the Celestial room.
@elizabethpeterson9914 thank you for sharing your experience. I love what you said about the natural man, darkness, and worry being swept away in his light. Sometimes, I will change my arms to reflect openness to let those things go and to let the light in by opening both my hands, palms up, and in a relaxed cupping shape in order of receiving. It started several years ago when I was in the Gilbert Temple celestial room with my arms folded. I felt prompted to unfold my arms and closed body and to open up and receive. Palms up for me from now on. It's funny because I often see the Savior in my mind's eye of faith, palms out to receive me, and show me his identity through his hands.
I used to feel the light shining from my eyes and my countenance, especially as a full-time missionary serving in Buenos Aires Argentina 99-00. After falling from Grace and quickly returning, it has been very, very difficult to try to get any of that light back that i used to have. To any who read this and struggle, PLEASE keep all of your covenants so that you don't have to fall as far and hard as i did! It truly creates painful consequences that you have to work through in order to fully return.
Hang in there, you can get it back. Be patient, and know it's part of your journey. The Lord wants you to learn from your experience and He will use it for your good.
Hang in there. All of your blessings can be fully returned to you. Remember what you know the Atonement Jesus Christ is real, and God is removing road blocks. As a fellow traveler, I am cheering you on. 🙏
The nature of light is that it just wants to heal- it just wants to give, and love and carry you back into it like a stream traveling through your soul that will eventually dump you back into the ocean🩵🌊🩵 your mind is Satan's playground, let your heart be your guide. You already know in your heart what you need to do, and as I write and share with you I know that my heart knows what to do about my "stuff" too... Hosanna! Thank God for a Savior that is all about 2nd chances....I have had to fight with everything I have for the light He is sharing with me now, which is even greater than what I knee previously. You can do this! It is exactly what you came here to do!!!
Having made mistake while in my youth, as a parent I pounded “prevention” into every lesson I could teach out children about life, hoping to “save “ them from the same pain. We checked all the “boxes” and they still made poor choices. I pondered Lehi’s dream after an Institute class and wondered who those people were who upon reaching the tree fell down and worshiped. Those people are the ones who made mistakes, but through the atonement of Christ were healed and cleansed from those mistakes. I put so much emphasis on prevention that I hoped they could bypass use of the atonement. I had perceived its use incorrectly at that time. Atonement IS at the core of everything! In some ways those who have had to use the atonement (those who fell down at the tree) due to poor choices, will have a deeper closeness to Jesus in that regard because the depth of their gratitude for their healing will be more poignant. Mistakes AND atonement WAS the plan! So don’t spend time beating yourself up, but FEEL the plan working in your life ALLOWING you to move on and testifying to others of its healing abilities.
Thank you for articulating so well what I've been experiencing for the past couple of years. The Lord is filling his people with so much light! How blessed we are to be a part of His 2nd coming! I don't live too close to a temple, however, I do try and attend at least once a week. While there, I am often filled with powerful, light-filled experiences. Thank you for the book recommendations... I'll be adding them to my long list of Gospel-related books I want to read. Randy, thank you for your podcast. I've given up on almost all media, however, I see your podcast as an essential part of my week. I'm very thoughtful about what I listen to anymore and I always feel good about what you produce. It's obviously guided and directed by the Spirit.
I have experienced being filled with light in the temple since I have been going one or two times a week. It is like I am entering a new dimension. I know things but not with my brain so I often do not have words. I loved the discussion of light. When I was a kid, we had a chandelier in the dining room with dangling prisms. I loved being in there when the sun was hitting the prisms. I felt the energy and wondered if seeing God was like that. I was the only one in my family who went to church. I went with neighbors. But even in church when I talked about things like that, I was told to just keep the commandments. There was a time when I truly thought the Church was holding me back and searched in other places. But I kept being told by the Lord to study scripture. I loved this discussion and want to read that book about the science of light. This channel is my favorite right now because the topics are so relevant to me. So thanks.
SO interesting, just yesterday at the temple I was asking about this “Light” that I FEELand see...and the spirit called it “sanctification”. What I took from that is that as we are being filled with light, we are in the process of being spiritually-and physically-sanctified 💙
I’ve been thinking about this subject a lot lately. It started with the Brethren talking about “the power of God in great glory”. What is that? The Lord is teaching me all about this. Now I know I’m not the only one who is striving to understand it. Light! It’s another part of this power! Any word, thought or action that builds and blesses us is part of this. Creating and organizing brings satisfaction and peace and joy. Gratitude is another piece of the puzzle. Every time I go into the Temple, I give and receive light, peace, joy and the “power of God in great glory”. Energy!! I love this!! Thank you. You are describing how the transformative power of truly receiving The Gift of the Holy Ghost. I always thought of the fountain of all righteousness as water. Now I’m thinking it’s the light and illuminating energy of The Holy Ghost! Music is one of the greatest ways to bring the Spirit. Wonderful!!! Obedience is another piece. Even the rocks obey our Creator. As we seek to be obedient to our covenants, He can Create us. This is so good! Pure light!! Miracles follow all this. I’m in this pattern right now! I don’t ever want to stop it. Our thoughts drive our actions. Whatever we desire, that’s what we become. Thank you!!!

Light is truth which is intelligence which is purity and perfection and requires a scientific change of atoms and molecules, etc, to speed up so fast that they create heat so hot that it can combust, creating a perfect, bright light, being purified and perfected. When we're full of light and fire we cannot burn.

Great video! The closer I get to my Savior, the more cool things I hear about, and it seems my brain can better comprehend physics and lught that were talked about are clicking in my mind and heart. It feels like some of these topics are sparking memories in my mind and heart. Thank you, Randy and Matt!
The feeling that Matt describes was a feeling I had as my husband and I served our mission and there was one family that we served much more than others because of their need and when the kids got baptized I had the same feeling that my chest just expanded and the sheer joy I felt was so unlike anything else I had before. It is the nostalgia amazing feeling.

Yesterday I was doing my own work, sealings, my friend said that I looked angelic and was glowing as I was kneeling at the alter! 😇🙏🏼 The Light of Christ is very real 💖 A dear friend of mine recently challenged me to purify my life more than I've ever done before, I can feel such a huge difference 😇🙏🏼💖
I've recently encountered people, non-members who tell me I look like an angel. I'm 64, grey haired, crooked toothed and fat - not exactly my idea of what an angel would look like. But I have to believe they are seeing what I don't see when I look in the mirror - the light of Christ shining in me.
Nearly every time I tune into one of yours and Matt Jepson's conversations I want so badly to be there asking questions and interjecting thoughts that come to mind as I learn from you both. I had an experience with mighty prayer once. I believe the spirit was trying to teach me about it. I had recently finished my yoga teacher training and had learned about and appreciated meditation. I was sitting outside my daughter's audition and I could tell it had started kind of rough. So I tuned into that meditative state and I'm not sure if I asked that He help her, or imagined the calm I was feeling spreading to her, a sort of expanding bubble; probably both. Instantaneously, her playing changed. It was brilliant. More like it is when she isn't nervous. I was stunned. Thank you for the reminder of mighty prayer and spiritual creation. I'm going to make more of an effort to pray from that energy and seek His will to know what to pray for. And thank you for the edifying and uplifting content.
I am sorry I do not comment enough on how wonderful your channel is. I think when I am listening to a video that I have to come back and leave a comment but somehow get too busy to do it. I love all the guests you've had with conversations that are so spot on. I love Matt Jeppson and follow his channel also. It has been the greatest blessing in my life to serve in the temple for the last year and a half. I feel like you that the Temple is a portal directly to Heaven where we receive light or sanctification ( as someone else commented on here which I hadn't thought of before). I also feel a pull to the temple. I used to go a few times a year. After last conference I started going once a week. Since the summer I’m there twice a week and it doesn’t feel like enough!

Randy, thank you so much for this video! I LOVED your comment about the chanderlier with prisms of light that represent all of us! This video infused me with so much light, its kind of incredible. I am including a note that I wrote to Matt because I thought you might enjoy. God bless! Matt: Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us and so generously share with us your incredible heart and insights! I noticed some pushback about the video links shared. It never ceases to amaze me how much contention the adversary is creating at this time... He is truly raging! I feel like he is performing miracles of his own right now (I know he has in my life) that can really catch us off guard. We truly need the Holy Ghost to help us discern at all times, especially online! But all this to say that we really are engaged in the battle of all battles, and many of us have taken a lot of hits, and received wounds for simply trying to spread light. My heart goes out to those of us who are lights on a hill, and so sometimes become targets for aggression. And whats worse is that it can happen in our own churches or families... but, I love the verse in John (John 1:5) that talks about Jesus being the light that shines in the darkness and that the darkness has never put it out. It relates directly to what we go through. They may push back, it may even come from those who were supposed to be our brothers and teammates, it may draw blood from our hearts, but He steps in everytime to make us the better and stronger for it. You have shared about the purging of the heart strings and I thank you because i relate so so much. Having a mighty change of heart is the best thing that has ever happened to me, but it has also been the most excruciating. He resurrects us from even the situations that seem to kill us- and I love Him so much for that. You have probably already looked at the entire book of 1 John (after Peter). It really highlights the role of light as it relates to love. You can use the terms light/truth and sin/darkness interchangeably..."Then this is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (darkness) etc... Its really a great reference to what you discussed. On another note, there is a poem w/music that I felt prompted to share with you also. It is by a middleeastern writer, but I believe that he is speaking about Jesus. There is much for us to learn from the middle east about our Lord, that is why I explore the poetry... to know Him better as the spirit allows. But this poem seems to suggest that they understand overcoming the world in the same way that we hope to. It provides significant insight about why contention and bickering that stem from the reasoning mind is fruitless, the heart being our more reliable guide. Its helped me a lot. (I am not pushing non-duality by sharing it, I dont think most people are ready for that and I believe in the plan of salvation. But using the Holy Ghost, I believe that there are many great lessons in this as I ask the Savior to teach me about overcoming the world) )Thanks Matt for being such a strong leader and team player in this fight. I am so excited about the spiritual information in this podcast. For years I have been drawn to the scriptures about the Savior's light, how it relates to glory and makes us one with the Savior and our Heavenly Father. The way you expressed it finally put the puzzle pieces together for me. Feelings also have frequencies. Anger, hatred, greed, etc are lower frequencies, while happiness, joy, love, etc are high frequencies. Sound and Music have different frequencies as well as colors. I just watched a documentary about the shroud of Turin. The scientists said that an incredibly high amount of energy/light, probably right at the time of Christ's resurrection, is the only way the imprint of his body could have been placed there. Randy you have had and continue to have some incredible guests on your podcast, and I love their several approaches and ideas on gospel subjects, but I was really excited to see Matt. I really resonate with Matt and maybe that is because of who I am, and how I think and process my thoughts, but what was also so exciting for me was these last 4 months or so I have been totally focused on the Light of Christ in my thoughts, studies and prayers and then along comes Matt with some of my thinking. Incredible topic! I feel the truth of what was said and the timing of it, once again, spot on! I've been pondering Elder Uchtdorf's talk where he says that the celestial light will penetrate even the darkest trials. I love Brother Bishop's book, Putting on Christ! Learning so much how to act on my desires to be infused with more light!

Wow, Matt! I was on a road trip Saturday attempting to describe to my husband for the first time what I was experiencing with my eyes closed facing the sun and weeping in the passenger seat just then and at other times when I'm in my closet or at the temple. I said it feels like the Lord is expanding my heart, filling it with his love. I said it almost hurts. The next day, on our way home, we listened to this episode. I was in awe that Matt's description was similar, as he said it's a little unconformable feeling, also used the word expansion when being filled with light. I was so excited to hear this description similar to what I had just described the day before. It was so validating/ edifying. I've noticed it changes my actions as well and makes me smarter than I am. I feel connected and joyful and encouraged to keep going until that perfect day.
That is wonderful Laverne, it is light! And it can be a little bit perplexing when its radiation grows in us, especially when it happens somewhat quickly! What a wonderful conversation. Thank you so much. I also feel the same about the song, the Spirit of God. A little while back I was feeling very discouraged, that I can’t use my voice very much (figuratively). I stay at home with the kids. I have some family members that don’t listen respectfully and I feel like not many kind people listen right now. But God was very kind to me and helped me understand that I will someday, as I already have before, sing the spirit of God with my voice, and be a part of a bigger and better group of angels using our voice collectively. That song gives me chills every time now. And I have since learned that my role as a mother as is so important aswell

It is a frequency, a SONG of PRAISE that emanates from us as we ascend to Higher and Holier spiritual states. Angels assist us in this.

Read d&c 93: This is a pattern for seeing the face of the savior, but read the whole section 28 He that keepeth his commandments receiveth truth and light, until he is glorified in truth and knoweth all things. 29 Man was also in the beginning with God. Intelligence, or the light of truth, was not created or made, neither indeed can be.

I got thinking, the infinity symbol is like the circulatory system, with the heart being at the center. I think God is at the center of the infinity pattern. Blood Goes and comes back and goes and comes back.
I have been reading about the light of Christ this week so I was excited to listen to this podcast. I especially enjoy you and Matt. But I have to say can you do anything about the commercials? Today was exceptionally irritating and taking away from the spirit. I started timing them and it was every 5-6 minutes!!! I actually love both you Randy and Matt and look for your videos.
People in the main body of the church think I’m a little cookey for believing stones have energy. I use stones in meditation, not as a ‘magic rock’ but as a way to help focus my thoughts. This is why.

Think about laser light there’s ultraviolet x-ray and other frequencies and some seen and some are not seen so there’s lots of different lights for sure. And if your eye be single to my glory, your whole bodies shall be filled with light, and there shall be no darkness in you; and that body which is filled with light comprehendeth all things.
@@spirtualsurvival I appreciate the reply, I believe that feel that way because I’ve been praying for years now to know His will and direction for me, and that I can be self-sufficient, and I’m still lost. I even received a new calling as a counselor in the branch I’m attending, and was promised that I would know by the power of the Holy Ghost…and I still don’t know. I have acted on many feelings and things that I believed were promptings, yet they didn’t work out. My prayers have become little more than “I hope you keep your promises.” It’s really awful to know God is real, and to know the Book of Mormon is true, and to watch things seemingly go unfulfilled time after time.
Don’t feel despair… there is always a balance of happiness and pain. It’s a necessary balance to create true joy. Sometimes we have to feel broken so as we ask and seek him in that time, he can fill the broken cracks with his light. It has been true for me after very hard, dark times. Ask him to ‘fill you’ as you take the sacrament with a repenting heart.
@@FromAgonyToLight I promise you He will answer. I had a question that took many years to understand the answer. Sometimes things have to happen first for the answer to be received with the POWER God intends you to feel.
Im not saying you have something big to repent of … I’m referring to our humble, grateful, daily repentance as come to be filled at the Sacrament table.
So the water you're talking about is the Living Water that Jesus promises - the kind of water (light and knowledge) that if we drink we never thirst again.

The nature of light is that it just wants to heal- it just wants to give, and love and carry you back into it like a stream traveling through your soul that will eventually dump you back into the ocean🩵🌊🩵 your mind is Satan's playground, let your heart be your guide. You already know in your heart what you need to do, and as I write and share with you I know that my heart knows what to do about my "stuff" too... Hosanna! Thank God for a Savior that is all about 2nd chances....I have had to fight with everything I have for the light He is sharing with me now, which is even greater than what I knee previously. You can do this! It is exactly what you came here to do!!!
Having made mistake while in my youth, as a parent I pounded “prevention” into every lesson I could teach out children about life, hoping to “save “ them from the same pain. We checked all the “boxes” and they still made poor choices. I pondered Lehi’s dream after an Institute class and wondered who those people were who upon reaching the tree fell down and worshiped. Those people are the ones who made mistakes, but through the atonement of Christ were healed and cleansed from those mistakes. I put so much emphasis on prevention that I hoped they could bypass use of the atonement. I had perceived its use incorrectly at that time. Atonement IS at the core of everything! In some ways those who have had to use the atonement (those who fell down at the tree) due to poor choices, will have a deeper closeness to Jesus in that regard because the depth of their gratitude for their healing will be more poignant. Mistakes AND atonement WAS the plan! So don’t spend time beating yourself up, but FEEL the plan working in your life ALLOWING you to move on and testifying to others of its healing abilities.
Thank you for articulating so well what I've been experiencing for the past couple of years. The Lord is filling his people with so much light! How blessed we are to be a part of His 2nd coming! I don't live too close to a temple, however, I do try and attend at least once a week. While there, I am often filled with powerful, light-filled experiences. Thank you for the book recommendations... I'll be adding them to my long list of Gospel-related books I want to read. Randy, thank you for your podcast. I've given up on almost all media, however, I see your podcast as an essential part of my week. I'm very thoughtful about what I listen to anymore and I always feel good about what you produce. I have experienced being filled with light in the temple since I have been going one or two times a week. It is like I am entering a new dimension. I know things but not with my brain so I often do not have words. I loved the discussion of light. When I was a kid, we had a chandelier in the dining room with dangling prisms. I loved being in there when the sun was hitting the prisms. I felt the energy and wondered if seeing God was like that. I was the only one in my family who went to church. I went with neighbors. But even in church when I talked about things like that, I was told to just keep the commandments. There was a time when I truly thought the Church was holding me back and searched in other places. But I kept being told by the Lord to study scripture. I loved this discussion and want to read that book about the science of light. This channel is my favorite right now because the topics are so relevant to me. So thanks.

SO interesting, just yesterday at the temple I was asking about this “Light” that I FEELand see...and the spirit called it “sanctification”. What I took from that is that as we are being filled with light, we are in the process of being spiritually-and physically-sanctified 💙

I’ve been thinking about this subject a lot lately. It started with the Brethren talking about “the power of God in great glory”. What is that? The Lord is teaching me all about this. Now I know I’m not the only one who is striving to understand it. Light! It’s another part of this power! Any word, thought or action that builds and blesses us is part of this. Creating and organizing brings satisfaction and peace and joy. Gratitude is another piece of the puzzle. Every time I go into the Temple, I give and receive light, peace, joy and the “power of God in great glory”. Energy!! I love this!! Thank you. You are describing how the transformative power of truly receiving The Gift of the Holy Ghost. I always thought of the fountain of all righteousness as water. Now I’m thinking it’s the light and illuminating energy of The Holy Ghost! Music is one of the greatest ways to bring the Spirit. Wonderful!!! Obedience is another piece. Even the rocks obey our Creator. As we seek to be obedient to our covenants, He can Create us. This is so good! Pure light!! Miracles follow all this. I’m in this pattern right now! The feeling that Matt describes was a feeling I had as my husband and I served our mission and there was one family that we served much more than others because of their need and when the kids got baptized I had the same feeling that my chest just expanded and the sheer joy I felt was so unlike anything else I had before. Nearly every time I tune into one of yours and Matt Jepson's conversations I want so badly to be there asking questions and interjecting thoughts that come to mind as I learn from you both.
I had an experience with mighty prayer once. I believe the spirit was trying to teach me about it. I had recently finished my yoga teacher training and had learned about and appreciated meditation. I was sitting outside my daughter's audition and I could tell it had started kind of rough. So I tuned into that meditative state and I'm not sure if I asked that He help her, or imagined the calm I was feeling spreading to her, a sort of expanding bubble; probably both. Instantaneously, her playing changed. It was brilliant. More like it is when she isn't nervous. I was stunned.
Thank you for the reminder of mighty prayer and spiritual creation. I'm going to make more of an effort to pray from that energy and seek His will to know what to pray for. And thank you for the edifying and uplifting content.

Matt: Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us and so generously share with us your incredible heart and insights! I noticed some pushback about the video links shared. It never ceases to amaze me how much contention the adversary is creating at this time... He is truly raging! I feel like he is performing miracles of his own right now (I know he has in my life) that can really catch us off guard. We truly need the Holy Ghost to help us discern at all times, especially online! But all this to say that we really are engaged in the battle of all battles, and many of us have taken a lot of hits, and received wounds for simply trying to spread light. My heart goes out to those of us who are lights on a hill, and so sometimes become targets for aggression. And whats worse is that it can happen in our own churches or families... but, I love the verse in John (John 1:5) that talks about Jesus being the light that shines in the darkness and that the darkness has never put it out. It relates directly to what we go through. They may push back, it may even come from those who were supposed to be our brothers and teammates, it may draw blood from our hearts, but He steps in everytime to make us the better and stronger for it. You have shared about the purging of the heart strings and I thank you because i relate so so much. Having a mighty change of heart is the best thing that has ever happened to me, but it has also been the most excruciating. He resurrects us from even the situations that seem to kill us- and I love Him so much for that.
You have probably already looked at the entire book of 1 John (after Peter). It really highlights the role of light as it relates to love. You can use the terms light/truth and sin/darkness interchangeably..."Then this is the message which we have heard of him and declare unto you that God is light and in him is no darkness at all. If we say we have fellowship with him and walk in darkness we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin (darkness) etc... Its really a great reference to what you discussed.
On another note, there is a poem w/music that I felt prompted to share with you also. It is by a middleeastern writer, but I believe that he is speaking about Jesus. There is much for us to learn from the middle east about our Lord, that is why I explore the poetry... to know Him better as the spirit allows. But this poem seems to suggest that they understand overcoming the world in the same way that we hope to. It provides significant insight about why contention and bickering that stem from the reasoning mind is fruitless, the heart being our more reliable guide. Its helped me a lot. (I am not pushing non-duality by sharing it, I dont think most people are ready for that and I believe in the plan of salvation. But using the Holy Ghost, I believe that there are many great lessons in this as I ask the Savior to teach me about overcoming the world) )Thanks Matt for being such a strong leader and team player in this fight. Because of you I have attended the temple "more than I think is possible" here in Texas. God bless you!

I am so excited about the spiritual information in this podcast. For years I have been drawn to the scriptures about the Savior's light, how it relates to glory and makes us one with the Savior and our Heavenly Father. The way you expressed it finally put the puzzle pieces together for me. Feelings also have frequencies. Anger, hatred, greed, etc are lower frequencies, while happiness, joy, love, etc are high frequencies. Sound and Music have different frequencies as well as colors. I just watched a documentary about the shroud of Turin. The scientists said that an incredibly high amount of energy/light, probably right at the time of Christ's resurrection, is the only way the imprint of his body could have been placed there. Wow, Matt! I was on a road trip Saturday attempting to describe to my husband for the first time what I was experiencing with my eyes closed facing the sun and weeping in the passenger seat just then and at other times when I'm in my closet or at the temple. I said it feels like the Lord is expanding my heart, filling it with his love. I said it almost hurts. The next day, on our way home, we listened to this episode. I was in awe that Matt's description was similar, as he said it's a little unconformable feeling, also used the word expansion when being filled with light. I was so excited to hear this description similar to what I had just described the day before. It was so validating/ edifying. I've noticed it changes my actions as well and makes me smarter than I am. I feel connected and joyful and encouraged to keep going until that perfect day.

A little while back I was feeling very discouraged, that I can’t use my voice very much (figuratively). I stay at home with the kids. I have some family members that don’t listen respectfully and I feel like not many kind people listen right now.
But God was very kind to me and helped me understand that I will someday, as I already have before, sing the spirit of God with my voice, and be a part of a bigger and better group of angels using our voice collectively. I even received a new calling as a counselor in the branch I’m attending, and was promised that I would know by the power of the Holy Ghost…and I still don’t know.
I have acted on many feelings and things that I believed were promptings, yet they didn’t work out.
My prayers have become little more than “I hope you keep your promises.” It’s really awful to know God is real, and to know the Book of Mormon is true, and to watch things seemingly go unfulfilled time after time.
Don’t feel despair… there is always a balance of happiness and pain. It’s a necessary balance to create true joy.
Sometimes we have to feel broken so as we ask and seek him in that time, he can fill the broken cracks with his light.
It has been true for me after very hard, dark times.
Ask him to ‘fill you’ as you take the sacrament with a repenting heart.
