Did I miss a book? Tell me the books you're most looking forwards too. I'll make a follow up video in a few weeks time discussing the books you're looking forward to. 😊

This is a great overview, but I could personally do with only a few sentences about what the book is about and if it peaks your personal interest or not. But of course you do you. I will definitely watch.

Goddess of the River by Vaishnavi Patel arrived on my doorstep this week. Other highly anticipated books for me are The Blackbird Oracle by Deborah Harkness (July) and Shy Creatures by Clare Chambers (Sept) 😊

I'm highly anticipating Olga Tokarczuk's first post-Nobel release The Empusium!

'so sharp it will give you papercuts' cracked me up too 😂 We publishers can be dramatic sometimes haha. Blessings is one I have seen Black reviewers particularly loving which always makes me hopeful. I have a copy on my shelf as well, so I will definitely be picking it up at some point. I've met Molly Aitken before and she is just lovely! I hope bright I burn does well. After being so disappointed in our wives under the sea I doubt I'll be reaching for private rites... LITTLE ROT YES!! I have a proof and I'm going to be reading it when I'm home in the netherlands next week on holiday with NO distractions. I have been seeing sandwich everywhere as well and that is another one I really want to read as well. I have read a lot of sarah crossan in the past but am not sure about hey zoey -- I think that's one where I will wait on the reviews for it. Anyone's ghost is another one I have and am very interested in as it sounds like a sad summery book which is incredibly up my alley. YAY KATIE'S BOOK. And I roar sounds good but I still need to read abi dare's debut (I know, can't believe that)!

My most anticipated release of 2024 has to be There Are Rivers in the Sky by Elif Shafak, I might actually kill someone to get an early copy 😂

  • @noteonthetext

My most anticipated release for the latter half of the year is Mammoth by Eva Baltasar. Great video!

  • @StephanieP1901

Yay!! Downloading to watch on my flight! I might hate you later, but at least I’ll be well-read. 😊 🙃

Wow this is an epic video - well done. So many interesting books I've never heard of. Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on these once you've read them all 😉

Thanks for that, I was able to put my name down at the library for a few that I've been anticipating. Did you mention Juice by Tim Winton (1st Oct 24)? Tell Me Everything by Elizabeth Strout (10th Sep 24)? Dusk by Robbie Arnott (8th Oct 24)? Playground by Richard Powers (24th Sep 24)? More Days at the Morisaki bookshop by Satoshi Yagisawa (3rd Sep 24)?

Great video Scott so many good books coming. Will be interesting to see how many of these end up on the prize lists. A new Tracy Chevalier cannot wait. The Liz Moore sounds really good. Do you have a prediction as to what could win the Women’s Prize or did I miss it? And a new Clare Chambers.

  • @bethdocherty2829

What a lot of work to compile such a bumper crop of books! Thank you, Scott!

  • @PattiReadsALot

What an epic video!! ❤I wrote down quite a few to keep an eye out for!

  • @curatoriallyyours

Ooh! Thanks for this - I’ve written a bunch of these down to look into further. The Wildes sounds fascinating to me - that one is definitely going onto the TBR!

As someone who has lived in Kilkenny, I'm looking forward to Bright I Burn. Her pub Kyteler's Inn is still in business to this day which is pretty cool.

  • @jacquelinemcmenamin8204

I have to watch this again with pen and paper 🤩

  • @CoynieReads

A blockbuster anticipated releases video! The rest of us cannot compete, have mercy, Scott! 😂 A great video!
