I feel like the roper's eye has the texture and flavor of a boiled egg. And giraffe lile mating should be cannon.

There is a Molten Magma Roper in Princes of the Apocalypse that you left out. It is actually a very cool version of the creature and consistent with that bit of lore about the first ones being made out of magma that you mentioned.

Brian and William really roped us in with this one almost done and caught up with the entirety of the dungeoncast not including live plays. Keep up the good work you all.

As someone who is currently DMing PF2e but still has a lot of love for DnD and its classic monsters, Im really enjoying that you two are also covering the Pathfinder interpretation of these beasties. Don't worry about stumbling over some nomenclature or more esoteric rules and keep up the great work!

Old DND editions are like classic rock but 4th ed is like death metal.

I've never played D&D but I found your podcast a few weeks before BG3 released to get acquainted with some of the lore. Loved your episodes on the Ilithid, Gith, and everything related to the Underdark. Your show is one of my favorites to listen to while commuting. Love the content and style of the show--keep up the good work fellas.

I can think of few monsters that I use as frequently across settings as Ropers and Piercers; incredibly versatile for any cave-like environment and are great for setting a unique fight setup, especially if you get weird with the terrain.

I love your guys videos and have been coming to this channel for inspiration for years.
I would love an episode about candlekeep, it's lore, and what it's about. There is not much info on it at all. Thanks guys! Keep it up

Good way to use ropers at higher levels are in combat oriented chases or as obsticles to overcome. My bad guy ran, players gave chase and he lead them through a piercer/roper cave feeding ground. The bard with 7 str and 8 dex got snatched up easy so they all stopped to save him while the baddie got away. Funny part was the bard player was yelling at them to "KEEP GOING!" in and OOC lol

You guys should do a TH-cam only show were you just read and react to old dungeon magazines, it would probably help drive people here and it would better use the video aspect of TH-cam👍
    Keep up the good work

Hey, I think it would be fun if, for the year of the artifact, you could talk about magical items in correlation to certain monsters. Magical items you could make from ropers, or in the case of more intelligent monsters, magical items they could create. Just an idea, you guys already put so much lore in each video..

Imagine a stone giant using a Roper as a club. A sticky, tooty, wiggly club.

You already know I'm here at episode drop. Not for DnD but for Will and Brian. Also watch out boys you have a Category 4 tropical storm heading for Cali, specifically Orange County.

I wasn't ready for the ropes!😂 I've watched the show, I should have been ready but I just wasn't.
I just can't help but to look forward to the next thing I know I should be ready for but certainly am not ready for!

Kinda want to do a LoZ-style boss version of this with abilities of, or at least inspired by, all the different versions.

They are making me think of cave leaches in Deep Rock Galactic… and that makes me think it would be cool to have a one shot campaign like thing where you have a Teleport (drop pod) that sends you into a under dark caves for missions and, when you finish the mission, you have to get to a new teleport location and wait for the circular to be inscribed to evac… going to write this down in my DM ideals notes… just incase I ever DM.
