    Magnificent capture! I have tried to capture the lightning, but somehow it didn't happen as I had hoped. It was like fishing for me that day. Love your work. Keep up the good work.

      Thankyou so much. I have certainly found that the Pluto ensures you get the shot. Without it it is wishful thinking and a whole lot of luck

    Hi Gill, have you noticed the difference when using the pluto trigger through the window glass or directly when shooting lightning ?

    • @GillFryPhotography
      @GillFryPhotography  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Jack. I dont normally take the photos through glass. I usually take them from my car with the widow slightly open. I have captured it through glass before but you have to make sure the lens is right up against the glass so you dont get reflections. Hope that helps. Cheers Gill

    just curious would it have been better to set the camera to either Auto ISO or even automatic mode since the condition changed often? I'm going to have to see how the Pluto's light sensitivity works when the light changes rapidly. From what I gather it looks as if you had to change the light sensitivity manually is that correct? This would be an issue since you have no idea what the intensity of the light will be from one shot to another. Love the lighting though, we get a pretty good show when they come in here in Perth, WA.

      Hi Jon. Sorry I only just found your comment!! I didn't change the sensitivity on the Pluto app. It fired with every shot. It just has to be over the threshold so even if it is brighter, it doesn't matter. I haven't tried Auto ISO so I cant respond to that. I suggest you give it a go and see what difference it makes. One thing though regarding automatic mode...the time is best to be at least 1 second so that you get the full strike with all its branches

    Hi Gill, I don't own any lightning shooter yet, really the offer of different brands say wonders all of them, obviously this makes one feel lost and not knowing what to do. As well, I really like your work, they are great shots, I hope soon to have my trigger for use with daylight. Cheers @IbelliWeather

      I haven't used another lightning trigger so I cant comment on them. But yes it is confusing. And the equipment is confusing when it arrives as there are no instructions. That is why I started making these videos. However, once you know how to use it, it is a great bit of equipment. All the best. Cheers Gill

    stunning shots, i now have my Pluto trigger, when you said jammed tripod between seat and wheel does that mean you shot through the glass or open side window ! :)

    Can you please post link that you had mention on how to use Pluto and setting. Also when shooting during day and the sky is bright and the landscape is dark how do you compensate your settings ? Thank you
