Arlington is my home airport. Lots of interesting planes and pilots are based at Arlington, and I like flying there. The restaurant on the field is good, too, and there’s a great brewery across the street. But the traffic pattern can be chaotic, and I guess one of the folks was having a bad day. Sorry you didn’t get a warmer reception. Too bad I wasn’t there then. I would have bought you lunch! Btw, I love the videos. Thanks for ramping them back up. I know it’s a lot of work, but you’re having some amazing experiences and it’s great to ride along with you.
I really appreciate this! Will definitely have to make my way back out for another one soon. Also really appreciate the views, we're keeping the content flowing so keep checking it out!
I'm late to the party, but love seeing y'all flying through my neck of the woods! Next time you should swing by my home airport KVUO (Pearson) in Vancouver, WA. Cool little airport with a couple of special flight rules due to it basically sitting right underneath the SFC area of the Portland Class C. Got a nice little small town-feeling FBO and an old-timey Army Air Corps museum. IIRC, oldest continually operating airport in the US. Love these videos man, fly safe!
Very cool episode! Love the jab at Signature.....I think we all feel that way; especially the surcharge on breathable air. But....if you buy 400gal of fuel we'll wave the fee to breath. LOL! We love Anacortes and the San Juan's. Looking forward to seeing the footage of Stark Twin Oaks!
Jon and Steph, glad to see you two releasing videos again. I have started flight school first of June. Starting to get use to the bank turns and angles. 4th flight starting to fall in love with flying as a student pilot instead of just being a passenger.
@@FLY8MA Power On stalls really set me on edge. My instructor took me up to 4000 and then did a power off stall. Then he kept the plane in a stall for 1000 feet or so, trying to help me get over being afraid. We are training in a C172SP. I was to the point to where I started to dislike flying until he did that, I am still nervous but not running away either.
@@christopherculvey3391 It will feel better and more exciting with time, just keep wanting to reach out of your comfort zone and you'll get there. Keep at it!
Shame you didn't go to the Boeing Museum of Flight. It's spectacular. I'd leave an entire day for it. They have a restaurant in the building, too. By the way, your editing is getting better and better. Really enjoyed this. Good to see you back at it, and looking forward to more.
I live by Paine pretty cool to see you flying around the area. All those planes at Boeing are at the Delivery Center. They're done with the factory, will go on a couple test flights, then get delivered to the customer!
I've heard both. Shrug. I'm from Vancouver, BTW, so I'm kinda local too. As the anglicised form of the original indian tribe's name, the "correct" pronunciation is not well-defined.
Ok, the guy behind you at Arlington, that was his screw up, not yours, you know that. He needs a little work with an instructor in the pattern, will probably solve his 5 attempts before successful landing pretty easily. He didn't know enough to be embarrassed, or better yet, keep his mouth shut, go around if he needed to, then extend his fricken downwind when behind a slower airplane. Glad you are getting caught up with the editing.
Nice video.. and you're not kidding about Signature.. they suck when it comes to fees. I never use them except at my home base airport, KBJC because they have cheap fuel at the self serve.
Great stuff! I like that you share your mistakes so we can all learn from them. I would recommend using a microphone when you are speaking in front of the camera. Kind of difficult to hear you.
Some aggressive pilots and ATCs in the Northwest. I thought everyone was a hippy up there! And is it livery or lievery (liv or live)? Maybe I’ve been pronouncing wrong my whole life... Great video, keep it up!
Pew-al-up (Puyallup) fairgrounds is close enough. BFI is always a zoo, with controllers suffering from “Oh crap, we are busy and right underneath SEA Class B - eek!“ hand-wringing. Arlington is the Wild West and full of “it’s MY pattern” cowboys - avoid on nice weekends, weekends where there is VFR, weekends where there is MVFR, or weekends with IFR conditions... you MIGHT NOT run into the yahoos if it’s LiFR... MIGHT, being the operative word as scud running across the sound seems to be a weekend sport...stop at Chehalis (KCLS) for cheap gas, walking-distance food, and Outlet malls...
You guys seriously need to speed up with your vlogs. You’re making a video per day, and you’re releasing videos monthly. This footage was taken back in October last year, and now it’s June this year. If you’re daily vlogging, you should be uploading the videos not long after what’s happening. But now you’re 9 months behind and still daily vlogging. You should probably do a half an hour video of what happened during the week now instead of a 20 minute video of the day that happened 9 months ago.
It didn't occur to me that these videos were time critical. Thanks for the heads up. Are you just sitting at your computer waiting for them? Besides the fact that life gets in the way of doing things like running a TH-cam channel, editing videos like this are labor intensive. If you're unhappy about it, just unsubscribe and go away.
This one of those things in life that are...... FUN TO WATCH ! , GREAT Video & THANK YOU for your time posting this. Just Love the countryside.
We appreciate it! We definitely are keeping the content flowing so make sure to keep updated with our channel!
Arlington is chaos. Pretty standard stuff from what I saw. Great vid as usual!

Thanks for checking it out!
If you have time next time check out the Boeing Factory tour at Paine Field. They build the wide-body jets there.
I'll definitely have to go check it out!
Worth the wait on the the flying trip.

Pretty cool area if you ask me!
The first runway I ever took off of was runway 29 at Skagit. and yeah Arlington is always like that haha!

Arlington is nuts at the best of times...
Are you sure it's not pyew-AL-up? :) Do the Puyallup!

Good evening from Wisconsin. Love your videos!
Thanks for watching! Hope to catch ya at Oshkosh!
Starks Twin Oaks is a really nice airport but, at night, I probably would have opted for KHIO.
Ya...deff and interesting approach!
Those green primed 73’s pass through Denver on rail north to Washington. I think they’re manufactured somewhere down south.
Nice video.. and you're not kidding about Signature.. they suck when it comes to fees. I never use them except at my home base airport, KBJC because they have cheap fuel at the self serve.
Signature does, indeed, charge you for everything including breathing, but Atlantic charges you even if you're not breathing.
I fly around there all the time! I go to school out of KPLU!
The "race track" near Skagit is the PACCAR (Kenworth) truck testing center.
Mitten for yoke/stick. Glove for radios and dials and such lol
Haha....I'll have to try flying with one mitten hand and one glove hand
Huh?..I thought you two quit flying and opened up a Subway in Homer...
Thought about it, but I'm more of a pizza guy than sandwiches...
It's always fun to remissness about a trip that you took 6 months ago when landing or tie down fees hit your mailbox.
that plane is perfect for idaho mountains. come to kgeg
Hopefully sometime in the future... Cheers!!
Pea-Wall-Up fairgrounds
Pew-Al-up. Lol

James, you could elect to stop paying for Fly8ma's videos if they are not being produced as rapidly as you wish.
Yeah. At this rate, it’s only gonna take them literally 20 years to get to today at this video rate. Not that long at all. :)
