If you are not Igbo and this song touches some deep ancestral chords in you, just imagine how much deeper the feeling will be if you were raised in Igboland and thus could understand the song and its deep nuances. BTW, I want to commend Zoro particularly - this guy's lyrics are DEEP and powerful and thoroughly reflect a classical Igbo upbringing -- those words are forged in the powerful fires of Igbo culture. He is not just rapping in Igbo; he is delivering masterpieces that the English language just will never be able to do any justice. I mean, I can rewind his lyrics in many songs and listen to them over and over---powerfully crafted, powerfully delivered as these words grow wings and fly to the depths of every Igbo heart. In a nutshell, this song is a clarion call to action--it is a call summoning the brave and the courageous to rise and march forth to ACTION!
Me also!! I love this song...( my guy is " IGBO")... AA( Nigerian descent) slowly but surely I will learn the language... When my babe compliments me on my studies I say, " Daalu'( he laughs). And if he asked me if I want something I say Biko'😉( baby steps...

beloved blood sister. if You are African American, you have a high chance of being an Igbo. Your Ghanaian side might be Ewe ( a lot of Ewes were taken to the USA) but you have to choose one. AFRICA is too big to claim all.
This is one of the powerful song new generation African singer has ever sung since many decades... I really don't understand anything about it but there's something deep I feel when Flavour starts singing the chorus. Respect NIGERIAN people. 👊🏾
my name is chizi supporting and congratulating my people the great Igbo tribe all the way from Germany,i love you all and please keep it up let the world no that we are here because we have always been here, once again thanks to you all it's perfect
I don't understand a single word being said, however just seeing the Igbo culture shown in this video is truly beautiful. Wouldn't trade being African for the world! Plus Flavour & Phyno together in a video = everything. Both so fine!
This song is him portraying his prowess and coming of age. It's says who did this thing that is being noised abroad or that am hearing about ( in reference maybe to his Fame or Fame) let's go let's go , the bird in the stream it's time for the dance ( remember in Igbo culture dance can signify a fierce competition) so it telling the bird which is actually maybe a rival to come out , and face the dance . Then it says the beautiful woman should dance and if she dances well he will kill a goat for her. Then it says when something happens suddenly that's when you know a real man ( in emergency you know a real man ) then it says bicycle without brake runs very fast. Which I believe is a proverb like saying without hiccups you move faster and smoothly ( which can be a good thing or a bad thing because if you have no check ups from loved ones or family you might just keep going fast without caution). Then it says let's go let's go any where we come things start happening, it's not easy , then it's says give me chance, if you touch me I will cut open your head, whose son are you and how much do you even have or are you richer than me , if you challenge me I will break your head. That's all I remember etc. It's a song showcasing warriorhood and prowess, the might among the mightiest. I think he believes he is coming into his own and defining his place as IJELE AND A WARRIOR.
@@daughterofzionyesha4850 It means ...."use knife to cut your head".. He simply said imetu m' aka(if you touch me), nnwelu meeh helewu ishi(I will use knife to cut your head). He spoke it in my dialect

Kererem mbom (mimicking the sound of the ogene when struck)
Anyi a panie (We have risen)
Maka anyi kwakuru puta nwa na ife e mewo (Because if we get ready and come out, things will happen)
Mme mme (musical sound)
mekus21 thanks
mekus21 you did a good job trying to interpret it but most aspects of the song is figurative and can't be taken as it is said.
mekus21 you did an excellent job of literal translation but the meaning and figurative meaning is lost in your translation
Thank you for the understanding of this video
Daalu, I'm learning igbo, thanks for the translation.
Im a Ghanaian and I think I will invite Flavour on my Wedding Day
Igbo song is where you hear drums, ogene, ekwe, idi, onyo and oja talk to your delight

Wow. You are welcome ma. We love you too
beloved blood sister. if You are African American, you have a high chance of being an Igbo. Your Ghanaian side might be Ewe ( a lot of Ewes were taken to the USA) but you have to choose one. AFRICA is too big to claim all.
I'm tochi. I can help sis. Instagram to__chi
You're an Igbo woman.
Pure, undiluted Igbo Jamz...

I don't understand a single word being said, however just seeing the Igbo culture shown in this video is truly beautiful. Wouldn't trade being African for the world! Plus Flavour & Phyno together in a video = everything. Both so fine!

Goooooo on! Goooo on!
Goooooo on! Goooo on!
✨I'm not speak Igbo but I'm really like this song hooo🔥✌❤
If you understand that Ogene sound, the leading sound if it really moves you then your a true blood.
Even non-igbos like me can relate...the vibe is too much, so refreshing
I don't know about the DAY test ,it's moves me even I'm not a Igbo
Idk what my DNA results say I am Igbo. My heart beat changes instantaneously!
the song beats with the heart and the blood in the veins runs as smooth as
Zoro's rap is one of best rhymes i have seen in Naija music

O bu onye mere ife n' ada?? I ❤️ this music! IGBO FOREVER AND EVER BIAFRA WILL RISE AGAIN!
The dialect gets me especially the 'mma ghewe gi ishi'. Proud to be ada Igbo.
I dont even know what it means and dats my favorite part too!!! In ATL...late af but... Dis my shit... Nigerian decent.
@@daughterofzionyesha4850 It means ...."use knife to cut your head"..
He simply said imetu m' aka(if you touch me), nnwelu meeh helewu ishi(I will use knife to cut your head). He spoke it in my dialect
