  • In January 2019, the French Minister of the Armed Forces Florence Parly announced on the scene of the International Cyber Security Forum in Lille a collaboration between the French Ministry of the Armed Forces, and the bug bounty platform YesWeHack.
The first bug bounty program of the French Ministry of the Armed forced was launched in May 2019. Dozens of operational cyber defence reservists and specialised COMCYBER units were invited to hunt vulnerabilities and security breaches in the websites and applications of the Ministry of the Armed Forces.
After this first success, a second Bug Bounty was held in 2020, lasting one month.
France was the first European country to implement a crowdsourced security strategy within its Ministry of the Armed Forces! Since this time, many governments and ministries around the world have embraced crowdsourcing to optimize security. Governments are increasingly moving towards implementing VDPs, which is likely to become even stronger following guidance in the latest OECD publications.
    About YesWeHack:
YesWeHack is a Global Bug Bounty and VDP Platform. Founded in 2015, we offer an innovative approach to cybersecurity with Bug Bounty (pay-per-vulnerability discovered). We connect organizations with more than 30,000 ethical hackers from 170 countries to secure their exposed scopes. YesWeHack runs private and public programs in compliance with the strictest European regulations.
In addition to the Bug Bounty platform, YesWeHack also offers support in creating a Vulnerability Disclosure Policy (VDP), a learning platform for ethical hackers called Dojo and a training platform for educational institutions, YesWeHackEDU.
