Ben, the young man who just comes to the factory as security chief, is thrilled by the work conditions, but soon he discovers that workers disappear mysteriously, even his predecessor has met an untimely death. Ben starts to investigate, he meets the only woman on the island, a doctor by the name of Jo Jo. Jo Jo is actually hiding from murderous enemies. She has been, however, forced to mix an addictive elixir into the workers' food. It makes them weak in mind but strong in body. The work force therefore is completely under the control of the supervisor. Ben finds out the truth. He starts to fight the supervisor and then the powers behind the supervisor until finally he comes face to face with the supreme mastermind - a computer.

这部戏简直是震撼了当时尚处童年的我。
惠天赐首部戏係同成龙合演龙腾虎跃之后入咗邵氏公司做主角係幫規呢部戏后来仲入咗TVB
Hi! I'd like to watch more classic martial arts movies in the future, like "Dirty Tiger, Crazy Frog" and "18 Bronzemen". "Gold Hunter" was a pleasant surprise. And it's nice to see subtitles in other languages added; I would love to see Italian subtitles in the future too!
I like the main character so much. He is so cool.
這部80年代對未來機器人想像的港片，以現在來看雖然質感粗糙，但我是喜歡的。(場景質感有一點力王的的影子)。後半段逃離工廠的情節關關難過卻關關過，但總給人懷疑二人真的能如此順利逃出嗎(尤其是在機器人一下子就被擊敗之後)。結局的定格留給觀眾想像空間個人認為做得很好。
小時候看被結局的黑暗感深深震撼
Austin Wai Tin Chi is the older brother of Kara Wai Ying Hong who is the star of My Young Auntie and lead heroine in other Shaw Bros films. Austin himself was a martial arts star and was a lead actor in Shaw Bros films like Gang Master and Five Super fighters.

Watch this in the cinema years ago as a kid in HK and didn't appreciate the grim ending or the sci-fi elements after watching other Sammo Hung and Jackie Chan films. Only now do I realise watching it again that this movie is kind of a remake of Outland (1981) starring Sean Connery with a similar premise except that film is set in another planet. I think most HK films can't afford that type of budget for special effects in the 80s.

其实电影的最后还是没抓到和看到那最后的头目。。。这电影可以拍的很好的。。。可惜最后不让人期待它的结局。。。😢
